This is VICTOR #A2562912 a 7-year old male Akita mix, he is not a Shepherd. I was lucky to meet him today when one of the vets was walking him. The doctor has him in her office He is doing well and recovering from the fractres. She told me the orthopedist who saw him considers that he will make a good recovery with the casts, no surgery needed. He is recovering well and though he still has 4 to 6 weeks more in them he can walk well and seems comfortable. He seems to prefer to be the only dog in his personal circle. He is not overly aggressive or reactive but he can get a bit tense and avoids interactions. Which is totally OK, not everyone needs to be a social butterfly and in reality most households have only one dog. These are CHRISTIE #A2512670 (F) , MARCIE #A2512684 (F), MARCUS #A2512682 (M) and FRANK #A2512673 (M) 2 1/2 year old German Shepherd/ Husky/ Bully mixed siblings. They were confiscated in October 2023 with some other related dogs. These four are still waiting for their forever families They are all young, gorgeous and friendly. Marcus will need to see an orthopedist as he was born with a malformed front leg. He is not in pain and he handles himself totally fine with his different paw, the consultation would aim at making him even more comfortable and improve his quality of life as under the current circumstances it's not great for him to go on long walks. Christie and Frank are also in Doral, they are both amazing dogs, sweet and friendly. Christie is stressed out, she'll beefit so much from being out with a foster! This is FRANK #A2512673 2-year old male Shepsky (German Shepherd/ Husky and maybe some Bully) He was confiscated on 10/01. Frank is not only super handsome and has the softest silkiest coat , he is mellow, super friendly and alert and seems to enjoy being close to other dogs. He loves to play fetch and he did enjoy interacting with toys. He does not resource guard them and after some practice he’d sit waiting for me to throw the toy he’s dropped. He is a great dog that spent many months at the old sheltetr and now has the chance of getting more exposure but he’s not been lucky so far, which is truly upsetting as he has all the potential for being an fabulous life companion. This is ODIN #A2547036 an 11-month old male Shepsky, he may be younger. I’ve been meaning to meet him for a week now and today he’s found a spot on the adoption floor. He is a young boy who is a bit shy and skittish when he first meets you, which is not a shock considering he is very young and sensitive. He does open up once he’s had space and time to relax, feel comfortable and trust the human with him. He did love to play with toys and he engaged in tentative playful behavior with the dogs next to us. He can sit for his treats, he is super polite on the leash and loves toys. He has heterochromia, one blue and one brown eye. I hope this unusual trait does not make it too attractive to a random adopter and whoeve decides to adopt him will be a good fit and they will help him become the best version of himsef, he has a lot of potential. This is MAX #A2537473 a 3-year old male Shepsky. He sometimes reminds me of a Karelian Bear dog, the only off characteristic would be that he has some tan in his coat. He’s been at the shelter since December 25 without a positive outcome. He is so well-behaved and handsome! He is affectionate and sits on cue for treats, he can give paw as well and he loves pets and affection. He has mixed feelings about other dogs, my guess is that it’s just the stress of confinement. This is SOPHIE #A2534680 a 3-year old female Shepsky. She's been at the shelter since December 13 and she is getting so stressed. She is so happy when going outside, and she hates to have to come back, she has to be lured inside the kennel with treats. She is a great leash walker and has the best manners. She sits politely for her treats and is very friendly with other dogs, she's successfully participated in playgroups. Her eyes are gorgeous and very unique, the upper half is blue while the lower part is brown. Her coat should be longer, I guess whoever had her before shaved her beautiful coat. This is SANTIAGO #A2528066 a 3-year old male Shepsky. He is such a mellow and well-behaved dog! he liks pets and affection and he seems relaxed around other dogs. We had to wait for a playpen and he just sat down and waited patiently. He was not too much into taking treats but those he took he did it nicely and with a soft mouth. He has great manners on the leash as well. His general behavior is one of a dog who's lived in a good home, I wonder where his people are. He has the most striking eyes indeed. Some more time with MARCUS #A2512682 a 2-year old male Shepsky (German Shepherd/ Husky) He was confiscated on 10/01 with several other alike-looking dogs, CHRISTIE #A2512670 , MARCIE #A2512684 and SAMSON #A2512669 are three others form this confiscation case I've met (click on theis ID# for previous posts) Marcus is a mellow and such an affectionate young dog! His most sadly outstanding feature is his front left paw that looks congenitally malformed, I won't venture what's really wrong with it and what possible help he may need, he should see an orthopedist . He manages himself really well, he runs and walks without showing pain or much discomfort. Dogs are so resilient and adapt so well to handicaps. He seems dog friendly and did not show any negative reaction when barked at. He loves pets and affection, he even rolled down on his back for tummy rubs. Let's help him out as soon as possible, he's been in there for almost two months now. I trust he'll be a great family dog. Samson is a shy guy but he's opened up a lot since he's been at the shelter. He likes pets and affection, he did come over to me during our walk to solicit attention. He will need an understanding home that will help him relax and become the best version of himself. He is having some skin issues, he'll need soe vetting and I trust with a healthy diet and a stable and stress-free environment his skin and coat will get better Let's help him out to safety.
