Here’s an art piece of a character I was originally planning on being an adoptable but I fell in love with the design too much to part with it. This gal is my Icewing/Leafwing hybrid Spruce. I thought that it would be cool to use the leafwing horn shape but sharpen it drastically as if the icewing genes were fighting for control over the softened curve. I also made the scales a mix between the shapes of icewing and leafwing scales, sprinkling in a few diamond shaped scales in the process. Her color pallet was based on blue spruce trees for which she is named. I wanted her neck spines to look almost like pine needles. I figured that a blue spruce would be a perfect plant to base an Ice/Leaf hybrid on as they are trees that stay green even in the bitter cold of winter. I was thinking that instead of Frostbreath, Spruce exhales a chilly vapor that does little to no damage. Her claws are long and serrated from her icewing side while her wings are mostly leaf shaped from her leafwing side save for the sharpened scales along the edges. I am considering her possibly being my Skywing/Leafwing Lantana’s half-sister. Hey! I'm alive- - I have this sculpture for a while now, a test sculpture to try if i can install transparent spikes to my sculpture. So i chose lynx! Colors might not be too accurate, since the printer broke and i can't get accurate colors 🥹 But this proofs that i can, in fact, give icewings transparent spikes haha Big thanks for my friend for taking the sculpture up to the mountain and took beautiful photos of her.
