KONINGSDAG 2024 Today is Kingsday in The Netherlands. Besides a party for our King who has his birthday on that very day, it also means the whole nation is allowed to sell stuff on street markets that are organized everywhere. The whole country is turning into an open air thriftshop. My kids do not sell their toys, but are good at buying others’ 😅 Robotopp did a lucky find at the Thomsonlaan as well. Look at this cocoa tin from the Droste company in Haarlem. I cannot judge if this tin is original but it sure has its wear and tear. The art nouveau design is typical for early 1900 to say the least. The Droste company started in 1863 and still operates today. I highly recommend its products and nobody is paying me to say this. Zo blij met deze actie foto van de prachtige Velduil🦉. Eindelijk es een echt mooie foto kunnen maken, na meerdere pogingen gedaan te hebben afgelopen jaar.
