Parental love is the only love that is truly selfless, unconditional and forgiving. True isn't it?! For Aadya, her fears have resurfaced and she's now suicidal. It is a parents' worst nightmare. Anuj probably finds himself in a similar situation as 5 years ago. With no one to turn to and Shruti bedridden, Anu is his last resort. PART 2 Well, his interaction with Anu when she came to question him about releasing Toshu from jail was good. He’s so careful around Anu, how he talks, how he addresses her, how he glances at her like he’s searching for something. Anu can only glance away because of her own guilt. It pains him to address Anu as Ms. Joshi but he’s doing it because Anu has finally drawn a line (fine one) ironically with him. Well! Anyways, even though he tries to be straightforward, professional with her yet, he slips up and ends up saying “tumhare liye Anu” because that is love. Foolishness yes, but love makes you a BIG fool. And Anu when will you realise what you have reduced this man and his daughter to?! Arggh! All idiots! Now, beyond all this tumhare liye he also did it for Pari and that’s his truth, he cannot see another child go through the trauma, he went through when losing his parents and Aadya went through when she lost her mother. Guilt stricken, trauma ridden or blinded by love, he told his side of the truth in a professional manner just the way Ms. Joshi likes it. I don’t agree with his reasons though, but knowing Anuj, I knew he’d do some foolish thing so didn’t come as a surprise. I think his heart is always in the right place. He’s also a good person, so giving second chances, bailing people out come naturally to him which is why I also think, he’d bail Anu and Yashdeep out of the restaurant problem in some way. Anu may ofcourse win the dance competition or cooking competition (I am confused) to save the restaurant, but I know Anuj will be by her side, rooting for her. Now, I also have my doubts about Shruti, I think Shruti may not be what we think she is, maybe what you see playing out is not the truth? Maybe, just maybe? Aadya thinks Anu is not a great maa and her ‘brother’ acknowledges. Anu talks to Titu, Vanraj wants Ansh to remain a Shah! Baa – Bapuji thinks their family has ‘panauti’ written all over it, but ends up walking hand in hand after they, randomly pick up a card. Drama is loading in the next few episodes, don’t know what else they are going to add! Anyways, we find drama in little things. Anuj laughing over the bhaang fiasco, as much as he was embarrassed, he knew Shruti did it because she was intoxicated. There is no need to make a big issue out of it, so he brushed it aside and eased Shruti’s already stressed-out nerves. That’s what any good person would do. Didn’t find anything wrong with that. When he passed those glances at Anu during the holi episode, it wasn’t him trying to prove his loyalty for Anu, it was more well, what to do she’s intoxicated. Stolen glances came from Anu too, right?! So why fault one over the other. He didn’t wish her; she didn’t wish her, sometimes we also need to GROW UP! Anuj was right is stopping Shruti from wearing Anu’s mangalsutra. Well, you just can’t do that. Shruti needs to GROW UP and grow a brain. Uski daal nahi galne waali with Anuj, unfortunately for her. She’s only going to be heartbroken at the end of it all. I cannot understand why DKP has reduced a well-educated, young woman to this! She’s beautiful, educated, has a job, yet she’s unable to get over a man who clearly is doing everything for his daughter irrespective of being in love with someone else. PART 2 The way he acknowledged their complaints, cleared their doubts, guided them towards talking to their family if they had concerns and also reassuring them that all will be well. They had to be emotionally calmed down to be able to have fun and enjoy their ice-cream, which I think he did really well. Kinjal’s perspective on Anu is right, as a mother it is the most difficult thing to punish your child. We don’t do it out of sadistic pleasure, we do it out of love and concern for them, so they grow up to be well rounded human beings. With Toshu, I think it’s a tad too late to help, but we cannot nullify Anu’s love for him. She still hopes he learns his lesson, I doubt it! Like I always say the Shah’s nayee baalas are always donku! Anuj realized that Anu must being hurting at what she had to do to Toshu. Anuj is an emotional fool when it comes to Anu and her Shah’s… he will forgive, forget, help, go above and beyond what he needs to do ONLY for Anu and no one else. Even giving Toshu that job was because he was Anu’s son. Helping the Shahs with their home load from Rakhi Dave was for Anu. His reaching out to Pakhi to mend her ways was because of Anu. So, now he’s thinking again about Anu’s happiness but doesn’t realize that Anu has reached her tipping point and wants to give Toshu a taste of his own medicine. While he did the right thing with tripping Toshu to stop him from running away, now, he’s doing wrong by releasing that moron from jail! PART 1 So, these Holi episodes… I couldn’t help but remember the episode year before last! What a beauty it was. In comparison this was such a drab. They’ve spoilt every thyohaar after the wedding for me! Ah anyways, as much as I don’t like the Shahs in Amrika, I am hoping their meddling brings Anu and Anuj closer 😊 wishful thinking no?! LOL Now, I was wondering why people have a problem with Anuj’s reaction to the Shah’s. While Anupama was completely involved with the Shahs, Anuj also did forge a bond with them. He saw them as his extended family always, although some of them only used him. His natural tendency to treat everyone with respect and love, makes him cordial with even the most unworthy ones. He’s given a lot of chances, he’s helped them monetarily, he’s forgiven their rudeness and disrespect, he’s also stood by them through difficult times and in times when no one else were willing to stand by them. He’s genuinely a nice person, which is why people take him for granted and also use him to their benefit. For Anuj, seeing them after 5 years was a surprise while the Shahs never considered him family, he always considered Anu’s family his own. He loved Bapuji like a father figure after GK kaka, he respected Baa and tolerated her nonsense to the greatest extent, and his upbringing does not allow him to disrespect people either for that I must give Dad and Mom Kapadia big claps! He is always kind to Kavya, Kinjal and Dimpy was like a daughter who he did “kanyadaan” for. So, I personally loved how he was happy to see them all in Amrika! :D What I loved was his way of greeting each and every child. PART 2 Why is Aadya the way she is. I don’t know what Anuj had to deal with when Choti was 6 with Anu running away. My guess is she was a traumatized child going through confusion, fear, pain & insecurity much like my child. Anuj being a first-time parent may not have recognized the signs. It took me 8-9 years to accept my child was struggling. We never want to accept such things, right? My husband still thinks we pampered her too much. Shruti’s role I don’t know; however, I think Anuj never understood she needed help because he was busy playing mom & dad, calming her down, keeping her happy & fulfilling her every wish else he’d not call her out to be a victim! Aadya’s anger issues are not random or generated by spotting Anu or the Shahs. Her hatred for them is basically a byproduct of the conditioning done by MD & BB when they pointed out that they are Anu’s apne, khoon ke rishte & she was adopted & last on her priority list. Now, this together with being a teenager, where anger issues are heightened by hormonal changes, peer pressure, self-esteem, transitions, insecurity, family dynamics & conflicts, we have a recipe for disaster. However, let’s remember this before we write Aadya off - It’s easier to fix an angry teenager than raise them into angry adults. So, now Anuj & Anu need to do what it takes to fix Aadya’s anger issues if that means getting back together, counselling, so be it. If that means, apologizing to your daughter for leaving her, loving her & bearing her anger for a bit, so be it. NO, Shruti cannot help here, because Shruti is Aadya’s friend. She needs a mother, her parents, & that only Anu can be along with Anuj. It is easy to blame, Anu & Anuj or one more than other but we cannot deny that Anu & Anuj have failed as parents here. Now, “Grow UP” may not work with Vanraj, but I certainly hope Anu & Anuj “Grow UP” before its too late. Running away, or walking on eggshells is not the solution, you must get in & be there however difficult the situation may be! Believe me, Aadya will appreciate it more! PART 1 I must talk about my stand on Aadya, I may have been a bit harsh with her. When Aadya goes all bonkers, she comes across as such a disobedient, unruly, ill-mannered child. She’s really gone out of control & she’s very disrespectful. As a parent of a 13-year-old, I can relate to Anuj’s plight. I recently went through an emotional outburst at home with my teenager & that helped me realize a lot about Aadya. I fortunately (with a lot of therapy, love, & care) have a calm, relaxed, teenager who doesn’t back answer much. There are times she gets annoyed, but she says one or two lines back & then goes off to calm herself down with music or silence. She chooses to sleep in the other room away from me for a couple of days, till she can’t keep away from my cute face, annoying tickling, & “I love you”. Having said that, now she’s always corrected when she raises her voice & told not to speak disrespectfully. As I have mentioned before, my teenager, was not always like this. It’s been 3+ years in therapy (continues) because of all the emotional trauma & pain she had from the abuse we experienced. She’s a child who had cognitive issues, learning problems, even fear. She was not someone who could tolerate a raised voice. She’d freeze & never be able to say anything if someone changed their tone. She continues to be a child at heart, longing for love & gullible too! At therapy, we were told we cannot be harsh with her if we need her to listen, only love & calmness will work with her. It’s a struggle everyday with her, because trauma doesn’t go away by correction, it must be treated, dealt with patience, & sensitivity. PART 1 Yesterday’s episode, I watched today, & it was full water works! God help me! My heart bleeds for #anujkapadia Yes, I am biased towards him, but I have never been unfair to Anupama. Anupama needed Anuj’s reasons, she needed to hear Anuj’s story, which she did. I wonder if she realized how what she did affected him & Aadya yet though - that she’s caused them their worst nightmare & biggest heartache while putting herself through hell. Anu’s penchant for heartache and dard is beyond me, most of which is self-inflicted. Anuj’s reasons for leaving India, coming to New York, trying to forget his pain and only thinking of Aadya was fair. He was a wreck & he got help when Shruti stepped in. Shruti never replaced Anu in his heart, never became his lover, but she did become an integral part of Aadya’s life. Shruti may not have done much but she never left, thinking Anuj would at some point start loving her. Unfair to her, to Anuj, to Aadya & Anu. 4 years on, the saga continues. Anju continues to be lonely; Aadya is happy in her ‘happy’ family. Shruti craves to be loved. Anu is as miserable as ever. Sometimes Anu’s questions baffle me. God, I am crying as I write this and listening to Anupama’s dialogues. When Anupama asked Anuj “aap Shruti ji se pyaar karte hai?” I was like Anu really?! Kadavule, kaapathungo! Doesn’t she know the man? He will forever love Anupama. Shruti AnujKapadia ki Anupama nahi hai! He’s marrying for Aadhya because AADYA ‘loves’ Shruti. NOT Anuj. Then she declared, “isliye toh aap mere saath khush nahi reh paaye.”. Well, Anupama let me tell you this since you haven’t figured it out yet - he was the happiest he’s been his whole life with you in his life, his home, his heart. As much as Anu thinks she’s sacrificing herself or pretending to understand, I have to say this - no Anu, sorry you are not doing any such thing by asking him to move on. You for one cannot force someone to love anyone, two cannot force someone to move on, three cannot decide what he or she chooses to do.
