I travelled 4,000kms to see this lady race and it was the most inspiring ride I have ever seen. Injured with a fractured elbow and almost written off she crossed the line as the new World Champion. It was a once in a lifetime chance to see her as she retires next year and I am amazed she pulled it off and I witnessed it at the finish line. Next time I feel tired or done on my bike I’ll remember this day and find that little bit extra. Behind the podium! I’ve been getting quite comfy on the ‘winners interview chair’, but when I turned up today for my turn…. NO CHAIR. I still sat down. I wonder if it will be back tomorrow? Another fabulous day riding on Stage 4 of the @thetourofbritain A pacy group today with the STEEP Carlton Bank climb. (Even the pros made it look hard!) So after 42km, we crossed the finish line before enjoying hospitality and the real race. It was a good one today! Come on @tompidcock we’re behind you! I particularly loved that Alan was given the Ride with Dan Martin as a gift for his 70th by his family. I love this photo of my little helper and I. She wanted to help me paint the @internationelles logo on the road. Her arms got tired though so I took over to get it done before the racers came through. 🤪🤪🤪 It’s little girls like this that I’m so excited for and I loved meeting and chatting with lots of them over the last few days. I hope they will have the same opportunities as their brothers and that they won’t know a time when women weren’t allowed to ride the Tour de France. Trying to find the words to sum up my @letourfemmes avec @gozwift experience has been tricky, as it was so amazing 🤯 .. everyday was a highlight. Picture 1 sums it up a lot : not just young girls, but ALL of us being inspired by seeing inspirational athletes like @ashleighcycling taking part in a Tour de France .. a race everyone knows, even if you don’t cycle 🇫🇷 .. this girl can now aspire to be what she sees and have the same goal as her brother .. 🚴♀️ .. something many groups have been campaigning for and I have been so lucky to be part of the @internationelles in this fight .. so to be together in France to watch & celebrate roadside was really special .. 🥂 .. along with meeting more amazing women via the power of the @rocacorbacollective ❤️ . Thank you Zwift, @kateveronneau and her Team .. you are also an inspiration to us women .. working so hard to make it happen and putting on such an incredible race .. the momentum this has built is only going to snowball into bigger things to come for Women’s Cycling .. and I don’t know about you but I am buzzing for it! 😝 . If you get the chance to go #watchthefemmes roadside next year I HIGHLY recommend it .. the atmosphere is electric 🔔! . They said they wanted a women’s Tour de France and boy did they get one. A week that will go down in history. And an epic performance by the unstoppable Annemiek van Vleuten on the Super Planche des Belles Filles. Among the crowds were the @internationelles who, after tirelessly campaigning alongside many others for this race to exist, spent the week roadside painting signs and cheering on the pros. This Tour has been an awesome site to behold. The battle for equal coverage, appropriate wages and prize money may not be over, but this is hopefully the beginning of a brighter future for women’s cycling. #ViveLeTour #InternationElles

On Sunday, for the first time in over 30 years, the Tour de France will finally play host to a multi-day women’s race. The Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift is a huge moment in cycling history, and is something that we’ve been passionate about campaigning for for a number of years now through our work with the @internationElles cycling team. The support for the InternationElles and their campaign to get a women’s TdF has been incredible, but now it’s our turn to act. Now is the time to truly show that we all support women’s racing. This weekend, when the teams line up on that start line, and for the following 7 days of the tour, we all need to be tuned in watching. So we’re asking one very simple thing: Watch the Femmes. Set your reminders, watch the race, enjoy it, engage with it, talk about it. Show those organisers they made the right decision. Show the sponsors and the broadcasters that they made the right decision. Show the world that women’s cycling deserves that spotlight too. We want to help @letourfemmes and @gozwift spread this message as far as possible. I’m overly worried about damaging her while she’s so new and nearly lost my mind when I thought a stone had flown up and hit her yesterday. Thankfully she was unscathed. Phew. Poor Rob has been relegated to the spare room because I’m sharing my bed with my bike now though. Oh well, he understands and has always known it’s a love me, love my bike situation. Today is the Super Planche des Belles Filles day at the Tour. It's a bit day out and a big climb with a few stings in the tail. It will feature in the Tour de France Femmes later this month too and it could prove very decisive in the overall race. For me, it conjures up a mix of emotions and loads of amazing memories from 3 years ago with @internationelles. Women's racing has come so far in that time and it's going in the right direction but there's still a lot to be done to give the pro women what they deserve.
