NEW DESIGN: Our bhura has been seeing a lot of love lately and we've had some enquiries from people who like the blade style but wish it was a little bigger and more capable. Seemed like a nice idea and a gap in our lineup so we've gone ahead and released a roided up 6 inch bhura. As the blade has been stretched out it benefits from a larger and gentler belly for superior surface work, a wider straight carving section near the bolster and a significantly less stubby tip that's a bit better for fine work and ease of penetration. NEW REDESIGN! The Falo is one of our longest running offerings and most popular offerings but it has often struggled to distinguish itself from other knives we offer or really capture what's so unique about these rough and raw blacksmith's blades. On Andrew's last trip to Nepal he had the chance to interact with a few new examples of these working blades and combined the best elements of a few of them into a new falo design for the website. The profile, taper and even traditional rooftop spine are all hammered in and left untouched, with only the final edge seeing contact with a grinder allowing for a super detailed and gorgeous forge finish. Some recent pics sent through by a happy customer. 15.5" mutiny that is currently being used to replace this machete, hatchet and a smaller dagger in a package less than half of the weight. The blade has had a custom splatter forced patina using tangerine and orange juice. It's also had the handle rings removed and the handle shaped into a slim coffin shape. The hornbow had too much positive tiller in the top limb today after overnight correction so I decided to let it settle before I shoot it again. Instead I used the time to catch up on some acid etching before the kids woke up. We recently made a replacement handle for a customer's antique hanshee blade. It was originally an ivory handled piece but the ivory was removed by the seller to make finding a buyer less complex. What a shame! Getting the tang hole shaped up to fit remotely was a bit of a challenge but we got there in the end. It isn't glued in yet here- it's awaiting some final adjustments from the buyer.
