Nach 11 Tagen erreichen und überqueren wir heute den „Thorang La Pass“ der mit 5.416 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel im Himalaya-Gebirge liegt. Um 3:00 klingelt der Wecker, um 4:00 stapfen wir im Stockfinsteren mit unseren Kopflampen los. Es ist dermaßen arschkalt, dass wir unsere Hände immer wieder unter die Jacken schieben müssen. Die Steile und die Höhe machen uns zu schaffen, sodass wir schwer atmen wie Lokomotiven. Nach 3 Stunden Aufstieg, 850 Höhenmetern und 5 Kilometern kommen wir am Pass an. Danach steigen wir innerhalb von 4 Stunden zügig 1.700 Höhenmeter ab und belohnen uns mit einer heißen Suppe. #nepal #hiking #trekking #annapurna #annapurnacircuit #whataride

How does Everest Basecamp Classic Route look like ? Everest Basecamp Trek is known as the Mecca of Trekking World. But it has two different routes to reach from Lukla by trekking. Everest Basecamp Classic Route is the main & conventional route which all trekkers & mountaineers follow to reach EBC. In this Classic Route, on the first day you start your trekking from the highest airport of the world which is know as the Tenzig Hillary airport of Lukla. You get the opportunity to visit Namche Bazar, the main trading center and hub for the Khumbu region on the third day of Trekking. After taking an acclimatisation day at Namche Bazar , the Trekking trail takes you through the magnificent landscapes of Tengboche, Dingboche, Periche, Lobuche & make you reach the last stay of your trek which is Gorakshep. You reach Gorakshep which is situated at an altitude of 16,900 feet on your 9th days of trekking from Lukla. After reaching Gorakshep, you visit Everest Basecamp on the same day & Kala Patthar (18,200 feet) on the next day to see Mount Everest in it’s full glory. After leaving your footprints at EBC, you come back to Lukla again by following the same route which takes another 3 days of descend. So, it’s a 12 days trekking journey from Lukla to Lukla. After witnessing the spectacular & gigantic view of Mount Everest along with Nuptse, Ama Dablam , Pumori, Cholatse, & all the other seven & eight thousander mountains, the famous Khumbu Glacier, you will feel content, & the purpose of our life seems successful. Yes, it’s that kind of a grand trek I’m talking about. On this trek, everyday at the end of the trek, Trekkers stay at the beautiful & comfortable tea houses of each campsite where you get the opportunity to meet the trekkers & mountaineers from all around the world.
