I had the best time creating this Palestinian design for @miastyless_ for a super exciting photoshoot with @ranatahboub_ this design was done in Jagua! It will stain navy blue-black color The photos will be coming soon but I couldn't wait to post this design! I loved working with Mia, and I can't wait to see the amazing hairstyles she created for this shoot! She also has the same name as my grandmother! As we talked we learned we had mutual relatives as well! The world can't erase Palestinians! we know who we are! We know where we come from. Also we will always know who our people are! Our people are all intertwined and connected between our villages and last names! We have the ability to connect with our people, just by our last names from anywhere in the world. I freaked out to the fullest when I got this message last week from a young woman in Switzerland whose mother tattooed my Kuffiyeh design! This is the second tattoo photo I have been sent of my Kuffiyeh henna design! To know there are two people all the way across the world who loved my design enough to want forever is the biggest honor and compliment to my work! I'm so proud of this woman for showing her support with Palestine in such a special way! Little do they know...they inspired me most!..... Like many of you, I was scrolling videos and feeling helpless as I watched what happens in Palestine. That is when I picked up my henna cone and got to work. I let those videos play as the background of my thoughts as I created a Kuffiyeh henna design and posted it with the audio that touched me from Dr. Hammam Alloh. Shortly after I lost over a hundred followers and all my bookings in December cancelled....but then I received these messages from young women and girls who felt inspired by video and replicated the design! These messages have inspired me so much! I received a lot of criticism for what I was doing! Even my own family recommended against me using my platform in politics, because this is my current livelihood. I'm here to say it was the best thing I have ever done! I am obsessed with how beautiful my Jagua stain turned out! This is the same design I did over a week ago in Henna! It quickly became my most requested design this week. So this time I did it again in Jagua! When creating this design it was quite simple! I wanted it to look like a Kuffiyeh scarf! I couldn't find any henna designs out there like it. I used the Kuffiyeh I bought from @flstin_fits as my reference. I replicated its patterns the best I could and the color of Jagua really worked better to achieve this look!
