💚8 Weeks into our 2024 Sweetpea Journey 💚 Now its time to embrace the Beauty of Sweet Pea Sideshoots. After a quick trim, adorable sideshoots are forming on our sweet peas. Sweet pea sideshoots, also known as axillary shoots, emerge from the leaf axils, where the leaf stem meets the main stem. These little offshoots are the plant's way of branching out and producing more flowers. As they develop, they contribute to a fuller, lusher appearance and an increased yield of sweet-scented blooms. Now is also the time to boost your sweet peas' nutrient intake with a balanced fertilizer to support healthy sideshoot development. A well-fed plant is a happy plant! Remember, each sideshoot tells a story of growth, resilience, and the promise of beauty. So, take a moment to appreciate these small but mighty additions to your sweet pea garden.
