Laser Wolf: 8/10 ••• Appreciated scenic rooftop views of the city while indulging in Israeli skewers and salatim (pickled vegetables, potatoes, babaganoush, and more) @laserwolf_bk. My friend and I preferred the grilled steak over the heavily salted lamb kofta, and we enjoyed our bites with the caramelized baby onions and fruity mocktails. The side fries with tahina ketchup were good but not a must-have. Our meal ended with their delicious brown sugar ice cream. Overall, this was a very pleasant dining experience and I can see why it has garnered so much positive attention online. We snagged some baked goods from @kfar_bk on our way home which I also highly recommend!

Ever since @phil.rosenthal went and raved about @laserwolf_philly it became my focus to go and experience this place and finally managed to do it! A complete experience in itself and each dish was curated with such passion and pride. Slide 4 Then, head over to @strongropebrewery for a drink. **There was so much more we wanted to do in Redhook, but the weather wasn't allowing for it. @briancantstopeating definitely helped plan our weekend as a whole and has a ton of more options for how to spend your afternoon in Redhook :) Slide 5 From Redhook, take an Uber or taxi Dumbo. Such a cute area with tons of options for shopping and food! Slide 6 After Hometown BBQ, you're going to want to walk, lol, so once in Dumbo, you can catch the bridge to head into Manhattan. Each time we've gone, it's been pretty busy, but you can catch some really nice views while working off your meal, lol! 📍Laser Wolf I had heard rave reviews about Laser Wolf, so I knew I had to try it. For the price of an entree, you get a ten dish salatim (Israeli mezze plate) and dessert included! The vibes were right and it was packed. Starting off with the unlimited salatim, which had: -Hummus w/Fresh Pita -Ajvar -Spicy Cucumbers -Kale Babaganoush -Braised Fennel w/Orange -Cabbage w/Tomato & Amba -Yemenite Pickles w/Shipka Peppers -Mushrooms w/Swiss Chard & Sour Cherry -Gigante Beans w/Castelvetrano Olives -Broccoli w/Chickpeas & Harissa -Smoked Beets My favorites were the hummus, the braised fennel, and the ajvar. The hummus speaks for itself, 10/10. The fresh pita was amazing as well. The braised fennel was sweet, refreshing, and tender. The usual licorice taste was mellowed during the braising process, allowing for a more mild anise flavor. The ajvar, made from roasted red peppers, was smoky, sweet, and had a balanced heat - an unexpected flavor combo. The vinegar added a welcome tangy kick that helped to balance the peppers. Also at the table we had the spicy lamb kofte (pictured), dorade, eggplant (pictured), and sirloin.
