Hồ Inle là hồ nước ngọt khổng lồ (dài 22 km và ngang 10 km) nằm ở bang Shan, cao hơn 900 mét so với mực nước biển - là nơi sinh sống của nhiều dân tộc địa phương. Trong đó nổi bật nhất là tộc người 'Intha' - người sống trên hồ. Inle không chỉ hấp dẫn bởi vẻ đẹp hoang sơ, còn hấp dẫn những người háo hức tìm hiểu về văn hoá lịch sử lâu đời. Ở đây còn lưu lại tàn tích của thành phố cổ Indein với các công trình được xây dựng bằng gạch từ thế kỷ 11 - thành phố từng là thủ đô dưới triều đại Shan huy hoàng. Đến Inle - dạo quanh hồ, thăm làng người Pa-O, tận hưởng cảnh rộn rã của chợ phiên Ywama.
