For our first visit back to @disneyland in a year, this fam had grand plans for the weekend, starting with the Oogie Boogie Bash on Thursday night… but life had different plans! And when I say life, I mean a terrible stomach bug! Those of you that caught my story saw that the kiddo and I were stuck throwing up instead of attending the Halloween party! 🤢 It was really so sad!!! I know I already shared our Hocus Pocus trunk-or-treat set-up recently, but I wanted to post pics of the actual event last night as well! Setting it up in the 90*, bright and sunny weather was a little rough, but once it got dark and cooled off, it was the perfect setting to show off the lit up bubbling cauldron and black flame candle! I also added some LED tea lights throughout the display, a couple of jars with gummy witch fingers and eyeballs and a table on the side with additional decor and a place for a bucket of candy from which to hand it out to all the kiddos! I haven’t participated in a trunk-or-treat event since the kiddo was in elementary school, but when my friends, Nestor and Scott asked to help with one this year, I was all for it! We decided to do a Hocus Pocus theme, which was super fun to execute! 🎃🐈⬛ * I made a bubbling cauldron with clear ornaments and green lights and a black flame candle, then decorated with a variety of Halloween-themed items, like potion bottles, spell books, signs and tombstones. I used a variety of cake stands sizes to add different levels to the display and included cute signs and banners to enhance the overall look. I also used my own @loungefly Hocus Pocus spell book handbag and just had to add a broom and vacuum!
