SPRING CLEANING TIME! We are in the midst of some spring cleaning here, and we have several prototype/demo instruments that we are trying to move out. All of these have been touch-up tuned by our staff. 1️⃣ Mtech 5.0-octave marimba - 1 available: This "show stock" instrument has traveled a bit and has some nicks and scratches on the frame, especially the endboard, but the keyboard sounds fantastic. 2️⃣ OmegaVibe with purple keyboard - 1 available: The frame is a prototype from the redesign process of the OmegaVibe, used in recordings and gigs by Joe Locke. The keyboard is a brand new purple keyboard, tuned to A442, with very minor color mismatching in the lowest F and F#. 3️⃣ Bob Becker’s custom XBA4.0 Becker Soloist Xylophone with flight case - 1 available: The instrument was used for many years in Bob’s performances around the world with NEXUS. A custom, lightweight aluminum frame design by Malletech especially for Bob. The keyboard, while showing some wear and tear, sounds fantastic. The resonators are brass painted black, and are tunable except for the top octave. 4️⃣ Prototype 4.3 padauk marimba - 1 available: Prototype we received of a 4.3 padauk marimba as a possible expansion item of the Mtech line. There are a couple small scratches on the frame, but the keyboard sounds great. Height adjustable, aluminum fixed resonators. 5️⃣ 4.0-octave digital marimba controller - 1 available: Prototype we received of a MIDI keyboard percussion controller (similar to a MalletKAT). The controller has general MIDI on-board sounds, and additional sounds can be added via USB. Base unit is 3.0-octaves, comes with an additional 1.0-octave expansion unit (not shown). 6️⃣ Sonor GBXP 1.1 Deep Bass Orff Instrument - 1 available: The xylophone bars are made from Pao Rosa, an African wood with great fundamental tones. We are excited to announce the next evolution of vibraphone: the OmegaAir and the redesigned OmegaVibe! What's different about these vibes, you ask? 🎶Redesigned Frame: more than 20 aluminum parts have been eliminated or replaced with 3D-printed carbon fiber/composite parts. The resonators are now suspended on bridges, eliminating contact with the frame and resulting in a quieter frame. The OmegaAir features 2"-diameter total-lock wheels. I tried these and fell in love, they’re multi tone mallets and have a GORGEOUS sound!! Now the giant thing the mallets shown are in is the liberty one mallet case AND BOY ITS GIANT. i L O VE this case it’s super packable and holds so much!!
