Today's job - after installing a new choke cable (the old one came off in my hand last week...) out with the old radiator which seemed blocked and was leaking and in with a new one from MGBhive. Temperature after a run down the A1 for 10 miles now pretty central rather than near the hot segment as before so clearly overdue a change. #mgb #mgb1969

Topped up the front dampers, one took nothing, the other must have been empty as it took a lot of oil. Ride improved massively, wonder if it'll leak out quickly or has just seeped over time. #mgb #mgb1969

After the exhaust got stuck on a speed bump a couple of weeks ago, I've spent the morning replacing the old "stretched strapping" exhaust mounts with the genuine MG type for the year. Also was able to rotate the pipe and all the fixings to get maximum clearance. #mgb #mgb1969 #exhaust #classiccars #repairs

Between the rain, upper trunion bushes (I believe that's the right term?). Old ones even worse than I thought after getting them off. Also greased the whole kingpin / hub carrier and the knock that two garages claimed was a worn bearing is..... gone! #mgb #mgb1969 #suspension

Had the doors apart to change the locks, grease the window mechanism and investigate why both door cards were warped. Found the reason - no plastic liner so water was getting into the hardboard backing - easily addressed with some "plastic for life". Sprayed the bottom half of the inner door with waxoyl whilst I had it open. #mgb #mgb1969

Slowly working on the interior. None of the non essential electrics worked at all so I'm rewiring the 12v outlet, reconnecting the interior lights and putting in a working radio.
