I love this saying as it’s so relevant to any business. Starting a business is tough. There will be times along the way where you’re stumped, exhausted, confused, feel like you’re getting nowhere or just feeling deflated. Let’s reframe labelling factories and suppliers “good” and “bad”. A better way to think about this is ”a good fit for your brand”. One thing I hear a lot from startup brands is that you want to find a “great factory” and “not get ripped off”. Finding your dream factory takes time, tons of emails, phone calls and physical factory visits. And a lot of negative experiences are born out of a lack of research or unwillingness to do the work and put in the time. You see, working with a factory is certainly not a one size fits all solution. Two brands may work with one supplier and have totally different experiences.
