Last night’s outfit that I didn’t wear - an ensemble for the fabulous Fourth of July cookout that I didn’t attend. I selected this because I needed to be cool while sipping gin and tonics on the patio, but formal enough to go inside to the ballroom for a gourmet BBQ. The shoes added a patriotic pop of color without the outfit being too in your face red white and blue like a costume. I could wear the square heel onto the grass for when I was not watching the fireworks and they were dressy enough, but still comfortable, to dance in while the after-fireworks band was’t playing.
