๐๐ป Thanks to each and every one of my friends who took time out of their day to wish me a HAPPY BIRTHDAY today ๐๐ I didn't have a cake so I rode my candle up to the lookout and had the wind blow it out ๐คฃ An extra special thank you to Stacy Renard and Robbie Raye LaFleur for spending part of their day with me yesterday; it meant the world to me ๐. Here's the year in review: ๐๐ป Almost 1 year ago to the day, I moved out here to Hinton, Alberta. Somehow I managed to convince my parents to join me in this journey post retirement and we haven't looked back. It's been an incredible ride and one of the best decisions I have ever made. Living in a small mountain town with all of the sporting amenities that I love, it's like a little slice of Heaven ๐ One of the biggest surprises was unexpectedly started a business almost immediately after moving here ๐ This has been an incredible learning curve, but it's been such a wonderful challenge with all of its ups and downs. I've met some incredible people along the way, and it's led me to making some invaluable connections. I still feel like I have a lot to accomplish over this next year, and with some new ideas, but I'm keeping my standards high. Continuing to grow, challenge myself, learn new skills, and build on those special friendships. I also want to sprinkle in a dabble of love to Tom and Shawn Vinson ๐น without meeting the 2 of you almost 7 years ago, I never would have discovered this beautiful place. HAPPY EARTH DAY ! Our Community Cruiser was out and about again, and this time it was spotted at the Beaver Boardwalk, Hinton, Alberta entrance. Derrick and Steven made a pit stop with "Frankie," their trusty co-pilot pup, riding shotgun in the Bronco. ๐ถ๐ After parking, they took a quick hike up the "Just Get There" -> "The J" -> "EZ" trails.
