1993 Mexican Spec Nissan 720 Short Bed - 40330W Hello friends. You might not recognize this truck but it is a Nissan 720 pick up. When Nissan US introduced the D21 Hard Body in 1986 1/2 in the US, Mexico continued with the 720 truck until the 1993 model year. This truck was the last year model the 720 was sold in Mexico. The composite head lights on this truck were never sol din the US. I think they look good on this truck. While we don't have many pictures of this truck we do know a bit about it. The engine has been rebuilt and it has a new carburetor and radiator. The truck rides on new tires. The interior was recently re-upholstered. This is a clean good running example of the last Nissan 720 made. A lot of these trucks have rusted away or have been hit so many times yo can't recognize them anymore. That is not the case with this truck. Of course this is a 4 cylinder truck and it is has a manual transmission. If you are a mini truck lover, how about having one that nobody else has around you? 1998 Mexican Spec Nissan D21 4 Door - 40303Z Hello friends. Here we have a 1998 Nissan D21 Hardbody 4 door pick up. This was sold in Mexico as a work truck and work they did. This was called Austero which means it basically has no options. You get your 4 cylinder engine and 5 speed manual transmission. You also get 4 doors and 4 wheels with tires. Right now this truck needs a good detail job and a new set of tires, I would say. It is best to get a new set of tires when you buy an old truck anyway. The front seat looks like it has had patch panels put in to repair the seat. The rear seat looks original. It needs new bumpers front and rear but you have to expect that on a work truck. Here is the advantage to all of this. You can make it your own. if you want to you can put a more luxurious interior in there as well as a set of nice wheels and tires. You can put the bumpers you want as they are still sold for these old trucks. You might notice the tail lights are different from the US models. These don't wrap around the side like the US versions do. The rear side marker lights weren't a priority in Mexico for a lot of years. This truck is a blank slate for you to customize it as you want. You could even put a 4WD system under there, if you are really ambitious. This truck is not far from me which is why it is priced reasonably. Most of these trucks I find are in the southern part of the country, and a lot more expensive, so a lot of traveling is needed. 1982 Mexican Spec Datsun 720 4 Door - Stock # - 40113G Hello friends. Here we have one of the earliest made 4 door mini trucks. This is a 1982 Datsun 720 4 door. Under the hood is a J Series 4 cylinder over head valve engine. It has a 4 speed manual to get that engine going. This was obviously a work truck, as they all were, that has been dolled up for sale. You have a solid truck to make what you want. The front and rear seats are from another vehicle. They work but are not for this truck. The front bumper is missing, but they are easily found. The steering appears to be from a late '60's or early '70's Chevrolet truck. You can sell that for much more than a Nissan wheel would cost so you would be ahead of the game. It looks like they put the minimum effort into the door panels. All of this is good news. You can customize it how you want it. You might not believe this but this is an original paint truck. It has never been restored. The odometer is reading 31,149 Miles. I would check that with a Carfax to see if it is original miles. This is an unmolested truck and when was the last time you saw one of those? It is still riding on its original chrome wheels. This is the 4 cylinder model matched to a 5 speed transmission and there is also a lever on the floor to shift it into 4X4. The driver's side of the front seat is cut off in the picture, maybe strategically. I will ask for more shots of the interior. 1973 Mexican Spec Datsun 620 - 31121W Hello friends. These mini trucks are making a come back, mostly because of how big even the smallest truck is these days. This 1973 model Datsun 620 pick up is in really nice condition. This is a US Spec truck which means it has the better over head cam engine. The Mexican Spec trucks got the much smaller over head valve engine. All the work has been done on this truck. It is not a fixer upper. This one is a long bed. You can decide if you like that or not. My opinion is it gives you more room to haul stuff and a little better ride. The dark blue is gorgeous on this truck and that goes will with the wheels and the peanut butter colored interior. There are a few blurry pictures here. I am not sure how that happens when the camera does all the work these days. The horn pad will need to be replaced. It is currently being held on with tape. 1996 US Spec Nissan Pathfinder 4X4 - 31121A Hello friends. Today when we think of an SUV we think 4 cylinder automatic. Well this US Spec Nissan Pathfinder wasn't made like that. Under the hood is a 3.3L V6 which powers this truck pretty well. What makes this one special is the 5 speed manual transmission. Very few of these were made in a manual and even fewer in an upscale 4X4 model. The dark green paint presents well. The interior has seat covers so that is an indication the seats might not be in great condition, however the covers might be on there to protect perfect seats. I can request pictures of the upholstery if need be. This is a local truck to me so there would be no delay in getting it to you. The air blows cold and it has really good off road tires. I doubt you could find a nicer one for this price in a 5 speed anywhere. They took a 4 door truck and created a 4 door SUV out of it. This truck will need some metal work and some much better paint, but you can customize it any way you want. 1997 Mexican Spec Nissan D21 4 Door - 31027W Hello friends. Here is a truck that was not sold in the US in this configuration. This is a 1997 Nissan D21, Hardbody, 4 door. Some people call this a Crew Cab. Under the hood is a 4 cylinder engine. The D21 series was the first time Nissan used a Nissan engine in their trucks. All the way up until 1993 Nissan used the old style Datsun 1.8L over head valve engine in the trucks. The interior has been redone with an interesting pattern. You can decide if you like it or not. I know this truck isn't perfect and you can see the price. It is really difficult to find a nice one of these. Almost all of them were bought to be work trucks. 1987 Mexican Spec Nissan Carry All Passenger Van - 31014S Hello friends. I bet you have never seen one of these before. I haven't either. This is a 1987 Nissan 720 that has been converted into a passenger van of sorts. Under the hood is an over head valve 1.8L A Series engine. At the back you have a dually set up to carry the weight. The truck features bucket seats up front as well as 2 more bucket seats just behind the front seats. Farther to the rear are 2 long couches that each fold down into a bed. If you are a safety nut you will have to install seat belts yourself. This truck didn't come with them in the back. All of the upholstery inside the van is in good condition. I am sure you will want to have it fully detailed if you get it. This unit is still small enough to take to any car show and steal all the looks. 1980 Mexican Spec Datsun 720 Step Side - 30924W Hello friends. These older mini trucks are gaining popularity again. The bigger the new trucks get the more simplicity is looked for. There is nothing more simple than a Nissan truck. This is a 1980 model. What is rare here is the step side bed. I haven't seen a Nissan step side in a long time. This is a 4 cylinder stick shift. You can see that the front bumper needs some adjustment. Something must have happened to push it in on the left side. Again, small details need to be taken care of. I love the script on the tail gate. The cursive Sport stands out. This appears to be a long bed. While that might not be the most desirable, it does give you extra room to work. 1991 Mexican Spec Nissan 720 4 Door - 30924M Hello friends. These Nissan 4 doors seems to be falling out of the sky for sale these days. Here is another 1991 model. It has the A series over head valve engine under the hood and, different from the previous trucks posted, this one is an automatic. Not many automatic trucks were sold in Mexico. The truck is white with the original graphics down the side. Again I don't think they would have been reapplied if the truck had been repainted. The front features dual composite headlights which were not offered on the US trucks. Inside the upholstery is intact, however it looks like the cushioning inside the seats has failed. New padding will fix that. A good cleaning inside and out will do wonders for this truck. If you would like one of these there are quite a few options as I have found a few more that I have yet to publish. You can have your pick of transmission and color. You have to remember these were not family haulers. Each and every one of them were work trucks so to see on even in this condition after 33 years is amazing. Please don't ask me why there is red paint inside the truck. I do not know the answer to that. The truck needs minor parts and work. 1992 Mexican Spec Nissan 720 4 Door - 30924I Hello friends. This is an honest truck. Here we have a 1992 Datsun 720 4 door. The 720 was sold in Mexico until the 1993 model year. The D21 Hard Body truck was't sold in Mexico until 1994. The truck has an A series 1800 cc 4 cylinder engine under the hood. The engine is coupled to a 5 speed manual transmission. I am assuming it is original paint because I doubt anybody would replace the stripes on the side. It looks like the dashboard has been covered. The interior looks like it has been redone but it is a high quality job. The lines on the seats seem to line up. The truck has excellent tires. It needs a new rear bumper but that is an easy fix. 1990 Mexican Spec Nissan 720 4 Door - 30910K Hello friends. You might be asking how this could be a 1990 Nissan 720 pick up when the Hard Body D21 came out in 1986 1/2. In Mexico the Nissan 720 was sold until the 1993 model year. Mexico didn't get the D21 chassis until 1994 but when they did they didn't let it go. The D21 was sold well passed 2010. This truck is a clean example of a 4 door Nissan 720. Most of these were worked into the ground. Under the hood is a small A series Datsun over head valve engine. The US got much bigger engines because of the vast highway system that needed more power for longer periods of time. The grey and black scheme here works well on this truck. The grey cloth interior is in really good condition, it might have just been redone. The wagon wheels were blacked out and it is wearing a good set of tires. The only 2 things I can see that need done is installing a stereo and painting the front bumper. Both being extremely minor. The odometer is showing 80,000 KM (49,709 Miles) but is could be 180,000 KM which still isn't a lot of miles for an old truck. 1998 Mexican Spec Nissan Crew Cab - 30825A This is a rare find in this condition. We have a 1998 Nissan D21 Crew Cab. I am not sure what Nissan called the 4 door trucks though. Mexico sold the Hard Body style well up into the 2000's while the US got the new Frontier style. It is a 4 cylinder stick shift and is in excellent condition. The truck comes with its original invoice showing it is a real one owner truck. It is riding on brand new Michelin tires, which are very costly in Mexico. The truck has traveled 120,454 KM (75,468 Miles) and has no rust of any kind. The earlier body style, the 720, is easier to find in the 4 door flavor but fewer of these semm to have been sold. Take notice that the tail lights are different on this truck being a Mexican Spec truck. The US Spec tail lights curve around the side of the truck more to give youa rear side marker light. Mexico didn't require them. This one will sell fast being it is a one owner well cared for truck and is cheap in comparison to others on the market.
