IMPORTANT shark facts: 1. In various media, sharks, along with other animals including snakes, spiders, bats, scorpions, alligators, crocodiles, wolves, squids, sperm whales, and many others, have been misunderstood as monsters, with their only desire is to harm and/or kill humans. 2. Sharks are threatened by changing temperatures in the ocean (caused by global warming, climate change, and carbon emissions), pollution, human debris, and many more threats. But over the past couple of decades, humans have become the top enemy of the sharks. 3. There are over 500 species of sharks, and there are many different shark sizes, shapes, features, and abilities. Most sharks are not even harmful to humans. 4. People kill at least 100,000,000 sharks every year, in which less than 10 people die due to sharks mistaking humans for their natural prey. ‼️Bottom line: All sharks have more reason to be scared of us than we do of them.‼️ It is time to put down our harpoons, nets, and other weapons that we use against sharks. Sharks are needed in our world, and if we do more genocide on them, the ocean's ecosystem will become unbalanced.
