Noise always overloads the mic! Never got to the track this year. It seems the universe wants me to be at my best when I do finally race again. So far since my learning experience in Tucson I have fixed the boost in crankcase issue, lost 450 pounds of heavy flatbed, installed 80lb injectors, made an optional tune for e85, and installed a new cast turbo exhaust manifold. Going through all the wiring connections looking for filthy stuff, decided to check the wires to alternator. Broken wire at ring terminal for regulator probably wasn't helping things. Got a nice smooth idle now. Wasn't showing on the gauge but I bet the voltage was up and down in a data log. Put 100 miles on the new setup today. Haven't had 4th gear wheel spin in awhile 😈 making boost at 2600 rpm! Overdrive is useable below 85mph again! Getting closer! Need to finish building new oil return, shorten oil feed hard line, lengthen coolant temp wires, clock the housing slightly, get a 10 inch length of 2.5 exhaust pipe to connect turbo to intercooler, cobble together something resembling a down pipe and change the oil. Major cracking on #1 primary, wastegate flange completely severed from riser pipe and a hole where the wastegate brace was welded. Cut the other brace off to check for cracking there also. Gonna need some work but it should hold up for rest of the year. I would love to put this back together without the huge charge pipe. Worried e70 would not offer enough intake cooling to eliminate the volvo intercooler.
