Taru besteht die Tolling Prüfung Bronze mit 183/200 Punkten im 2. Preis. Ob ich mich darüber freue? NATÜRLICH! Ob ich mir ein besseres Ergebnis gewünscht hätte? JA! Und das darf so sein. Ich habe so viel Zeit in das Training gesteckt, dass es mich ärgert, nicht die beste Leistung gezeigt haben zu können. Er ist mir abgezischt. Beim Anschleichen. Im Training immer unsere sicherste Disziplin. Egal wie viele Meter. Egal welche Verleitungen. In der Prüfung haut er mir ein paar Meter Richtung Wasser ab. Er kam auf Pfiff zurück, was uns wahrscheinlich vor der 0 gerettet hat. Das schöne daran: die Richterin verlas bei ihrer Bewertung: „er kann sicherlich sonst gut und fokussiert anschleichen, den Ansatz konnten wir sehen, er war sehr aufgeregt und hat sich deutlich hörbar beschwert, dass seine Führerin so langsam gelaufen ist.“ Kein Ton. Im Training gab er KEINEN TON von sich. Grrrrr. In der Verlorensuche brachte er mir die Enten nicht. Einen Tag vorher tat er das noch. Schnell. Mit sauberer Abgabe. Heute fand er sie, schaute mich an und kam ohne. Gleich zwei mal. Beim dritten Mal musste ich ihn animieren wie ein BABY. Er ließ sich überreden und rotzte sie mir vor die Füße. Danke. Es ärgert mich, weil die Prüfungssituation ihn so hochdreht und er dadurch nicht zeigen kann, was er eigentlich drauf hat. Wie fokussiert und kooperativ er ist. Wie toll er arbeiten kann. Weil er sich dann selber im Weg steht. Er kennt keine Lösung dafür und ich auch noch nicht. Das wird also unsere Hausaufgabe. Anspannung raus kriegen. Wie man das macht? Keine Ahnung. Aber ich muss ihm das zeigen. Er kann da nichts für. Er will mich nicht ärgern. Und dennoch hätte ich mir gewünscht dass auch die Richter die Leistung zu Gesicht bekommen, die ich immer sehen darf. Ich weiß, dass er jede Aufgabe gekonnt hätte. Been a while since we have posted about our progress in Scentwork. After getting our SWA title a couple of months ago we dipped our paw into Excellent. Wow what a step up! Have had a steep learning curve & a few false alerts, not to mention a nervous handler. This weekend we had 3 elements to try for; Containers, Vehicles & Exterior. Containers was chaos & no odour found but we didn’t attempt to alert on everything which is a big improvement. Only 1 dog passed! Exteriors we found 1, found odour on 2nd but not source & gave a false alert when frustrated. Vehicles was beautiful, Tona worked so well, didn’t paw, worked odour well. If the human hadn’t been so excited & dropped food we would have come 5th but we will take 8th & a qualification. Our first PASS. Tolling Test, Brasschrat, Belgien, mit meinen beiden Jungs. Alfred startet in Beginner. Jede Markierung mit Schuss, 2 Schüsse in die Suche. Das war etwas viel für den kleinen Kopf. Gearbeitet hat er toll! Anschleichen, Tolling, am Netz sitzen und warten. Schnell raus, schnell rein. Suche war auch ziemlich gut. Nur war er halt sehr aufgeregt, und so konnten wir noch mit einem "Gut" bestehen. Noah startet in Novice. Er hat mich ein wenig überrascht, der Hampelmann. Anschleichen ging schonmal besser, war aber ok. Tolling war schön! Einzelmark: drin. Doppelmark: beide drin. Und dann ging es wieder los. Er ging, er ging rüber, war fast am Dummy, hat sich lenken lassen, kam aber nicht zum Stück. Er hat dann irgendwann aufgegeben, und das war es dann wieder für uns. "N.C.". Er durfte trotzdem wieder mit nach Hause 😊 So, das war unser Tag heute! Heute hatten wir im Verein unser erstes Hoopersturnier. Frauchen war als Helfer eingeplant und Leevi entspannte währenddessen in seiner Box. Zwischendurch ging es Gassi. and then there were 3 🤭 welcome to the family Nyx! 🖤 Nyxis joining our family through a rehoming situation. His previous owner found that she was no longer able to care for such an energetic sport dog. With the assistance and support of our friend and dog trainer, Hana at and Nyx’s original owner, we collectively decided that rehoming him to us would be in his best interest. He’s been in our home for almost 2 weeks now and he’s already becoming the coolest sport dog! We’ve started some baby agility basics and he’s quickly becoming a disc superstar and will be competing in his first trial along with Dipper and Fawkes in Kelowna in 2 weeks and at the in September!! We’re so excited to have Nyx in our family! He fits in perfectly, almost like a missing puzzle piece. **Please note: absolutely no hate towards Nyx’s previous owner will be tolerated. Der Freund meiner Mutter ist dort Aussteller und hatte uns eingeladen.☺️🙈 Wir sind mal gespannt was uns erwartet! Hunde sind erlaubt... & es waren wohl auch schon einige dort unterwegs mit Hund. Ich bin mir aber unsicher, ob das eine gute Idee wäre.. naja mal sehen wie voll es ist. Wir waren schon öfters in der Kölner Innenstadt, das war nie wirklich ein Problem.. obwohl es dort auch relativ voll ist. Wir sind auf alle Fälle zu viert unterwegs also könnten immer zwei mit Dorie draußen warten. Außerdem ist meine Mama auch „Hinter den Kulissen“ und könnte sie nehmen. Prüfungsvorbereitung - das hat mir zu Schulzeiten schon Unwohlsein bereitet. Die Arbeit mit dem Hund macht mir unheimlich viel Spaß, es ist meine Auszeit, mein Energiespeicher, meine Passion. Und im Endeffekt beginnt die Arbeit mit dem Hund mit dem Abschicken der Meldung. All das ist unsere gemeinsame Leistung und die Prüfung nachher nur der (hoffentlich) krönende Abschluss. Alexander Zverev hat mal gesagt: „Es ist nicht 'ne Goldmedaille, die da um den Hals hängt, das sind die letzten 20 Jahre meines Lebens.“ Und ich fühle diesen Satz so so sehr, auch wenn wir hier nicht von JAHREN sprechen. Aber die Medaille, die Urkunde, die Prüfung ist nachher der Beweis für all den Schweiß, die Tränen, den Schmerz und die Arbeit, die dahinter steckt. Ich war schon immer ein Mensch, der die Dinge vorhersehbar mag. Selber planen, selber vorbereiten, selber machen. Das Ding mit den Hundeprüfungen macht mich WAHNSINNIG, weil der Hund eine so unvorhersehbare Komponente ist. Es ist ein Lebewesen. Wie ich. Das aufgeregt sein kann. Das einen schlechten Tag haben kann. Bei dem die Synapsen mal anders funktionieren als sonst. Und das ist OKAY, aber es ist eben auch ein unberechenbarer Faktor. Also sowohl bei mir, als auch bei ihm und im schlechtesten Fall bei uns beiden gleichzeitig 😂 Ich habe ein Ziel vor Augen. Und das würde ich so so gerne erreichen. Und wenn wir das nicht erreichen, ich weiß, es ist kein Weltuntergang. Und wir starten dann noch mal. Das ändert aber (leider) nichts an meinem Ehrgeiz und meinem Glauben an uns als Team. Jemand hat mal zu mir gesagt: der Unterschied zwischen einem Verlierer und einem Gewinner ist, dass der Gewinner schon öfter verloren hat. Und dieser Satz begleitet mich schon mein halbes Leben. Denn Erfolg ist kein Glück. Erfolg ist jede Minute, jede Stunde, jeder Schweißtropfen, der hinter all der Vorbereitung steckt. Det gick bättre idag, vi flyttade sakta hindret så att det stod mer och mer snett. Så roligt det är att träna med henne och se henne utvecklas, sakta bygga svagheter till styrkor😍 Blev också ett pass på A-hindret, mestadels repetition idag.
