Back in 2006, I was on a 6-month deadline to either make my company happen or pack it in. From apartments to retail, I tried it all. But guess what shouted back at me? Office leasing. In January 1, 2006, we opened up shop, and although it was a choppy start, that October I closed 12 transactions myself, followed by 9 deals in November. If I time-traveled and spilled the beans about all the deals I’d close, I wouldn’t believe it. Life’s funny that way.
