I am safe being seen. This is a recent development for me. For two years I have been pretty quiet on social media because events in my life made me feel I had to hide where I am and what I am doing for my own safety. It has been a particularly wild time to keep so quiet because the most amazing developments in my life and my career have taken place during this time. A little over two years ago, I had a job interview for a role in the show Opium by Spiegelworld at the Cosmopolitan on the Las Vegas Strip. They were also opening a new restaurant next to the OPIUM theater called Superfrico, a psychedelic Italian restaurant that would have live entertainment as part of the dinner experience. If I got the job, it would require relocating to Vegas and it would be an opportunity I had hoped for my whole career. Stability. Health insurance for me and my kids, and the opportunity to perform for a live audience every night in a proper professional show. And I got it! We moved to Vegas in August of 2021 and I started my new job performing my comedy straightjacket escape act 10 shows a week as well as juggling in the restaurant and twerking in a big fuzzy monster outfit. I’ve been living my best life, y’all! In 2022 they did a complete overhaul of the show, and it changed from Opium to OPM. They took my act out of the show, but thankfully they kept me working by doing more bits in the restaurant and occasionally performing in the show as the understudy for the role originated by the bad ass Grace Lusk called Andromeda. When they needed a sub act, I would also do my straitjacket act in the show. The show has undergone some more changes and I am now officially taking on the lead role of Andromeda and performing my straitjacket act as Andromeda. If you are a fan of mine and want to see me in this show, don’t wait. It’s showbiz, so you never know when it will come and when it will go. So come now! The acts in this show are some of the best in the biz and it’s an honor every night to perform among them. OPM is awesome and I have been proud to be a part of it in all its many forms. Not only was it hilarious and I was crying laughing so hard, but the physical strength of the performers and what they have achieved with their bodies is incredible. Opium is quite a ride, a light filled sensory experience.
