Today I had the opportunity to tour Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach in #downtownCharleston. OLCM is more than a place for the community to grab a free lunch, it is a loving environment that helps people get back on their feet, educate them in things like computer science, getting their GED, or counseling for mental health and addiction, so they can get back into the workforce. • I am amazed at how wonderful many wonderful, local stores make donations to help the hungry in their community. On Wednesdays, @costco will donate fresh food that is still good, but is about to expire. @harristeeter, @bilosupersaver @cupcakedownsouth @sugarbakeshop, @lcfoodbank and #farmers from the @charlestonfarms donate as well. I love seeing our community take care of each other, all while keeping perfectly good food out of the landfill. • If you would like to donate to OLMCO, here is what the downtown location will accept: 👕Men’s Clothing 👗Women’s Clothing 📚Books 🍯Pantry items (food that has been unopened, and has not expired). • Ps - Did I mention they are located downtown?
