(2004 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series)🇺🇸🇨🇦 The last and final breath of the old world of car manufacturing. A simple body of frame, V8 powered, rear wheel drive sedan that once owned our roads more than 50 years ago. This car is indeed old. Even if the car was only discontinued in 2011. The Town Car’s platform sat upon what was known as the Panther Platform, which dates back to 1979! A traditional body on chassis construction that housed the Ford Crown-Victoria, and the Mercury Grand Marquis. A platform world renowned for its dependability in not only law enforcement, but also used in taxi, limousine, and other fleet services. The Town Car was powered by 4.6L SOHC modular V8 making around 250hp. Hardly a performance powerhouse but still providing very good bottom end grunt when needing to merge on a busy expressway ramp. The Town Car had the typical luxuries of a car from this era. Sunroof, CD player with cassette, digital instrumentation, power seats with memory settings and hydraulic suspension for added ride comfort. This was one of the last American/Canadian cars ever built that truly felt comfortable to be in and not the rock hard pack foam seats of today’s sporty handling cars and SUVs.
