PARIS FOOD TRIP 🍜 Prendre des vacances ça fait plaisir, encore plus quand les repas riment avec découvertes culinaires ! Starting the morning off with breakfast in a cafe by the Arc de Triomphe @etoile1903paris 🇫🇷🍴☕️. This cafe has been around since 1903 which reflects the authenticity and keeps that traditional vibe of what you’d expect from a Parisian cafe. I ordered the mixed ham, cheese & potato omelette, a chocolate croissant and a Chocolate Viennois drink 🍳🥐🍫. My waiter Nathan was very lovely and said that I was the first foreigner he served that attempted to order & speak to him in French which he respected. The Louvre has many restaurants located in the pyramid annex but the €31.50 for two courses and a glass of wine at Bistrot Benoit was the one that caught my eye the most 👀👌🏻. I went for the main & dessert combo paired with a glass of rosé starting with a pan of roast chicken with peas and gravy and to finish: classic French vanilla crème brûlée (my go-to French dessert) 🍽️🍗🍮. Three course lunch at the palace restaurant @ore.ducasseauchateauversailles ⚜️🍽️🍷. 📍 The restaurant is located just outside the exit of the palace tour which is the perfect location to drop by right after a breathtaking tour through the stunning Palace of Versailles 👣🕌💎. Every single dish we were served was amazing both our starters & mains and of course our vanilla berry soufflé dessert was to die for 🤤🍴👌🏻. But what stood out the most to me was the exceptional service by our waitress Léa which was honestly the first time since being in Paris that we received kind, friendly & attentive service. She followed up on our orders when she saw it hadn’t arrived, she spoke with us about our travels and encouraged us to speak French instead of putting us down for trying. That alone made this place my personal favourite and most memorable. Merci beaucoup Léa 🥰💘. It just goes to show that it doesn’t matter how good the food or place is, if the service isn’t good then it’s not worth remembering which is how I felt with every other cafe/restaurant in Paris that I went to prior to this where I was given rude & terrible service. ⭐️ My first Michelin star dining experience @benoitparis_restaurant 🇫🇷🍽️🍷. 📍 Located just a 10 minute walk from the Louvre Museum is a one star Michelin bistro which serves classic French dishes in a cosy & classy well decorated setting. The interior has that warm, inviting & homey feeling with that touch of elegance from the red velvety chairs and the white tablecloths adorned with floral patterned plates with the restaurant’s name engraved onto it. We ordered the classic foie gras and escargots and it was without a doubt the best foie gras & escargots we have tasted. No surprise from a Michelin star restaurant 🏅🤤🤌🏻. The texture of the duck foie gras was smooth that went perfectly with the crisp baguette with a strong savoury flavour that balanced with the sweet & sourness of the cranberries 🦆🥖🫐. The escargots were filled with a rich buttery garlic pesto sauce that gave them that enhanced flavour and richness that escargots generally lack on their own 🐌🧈🌱. The wine sommelier was also very knowledgeable and recommended us the best wines to match our flavour palate. The pinot noir he suggested was one of the best that I’ve ever had 🍷👍🏻.
