She’s eating well meaning we’ve been able to do food based training, sleeping through the night and so clean. No accidents yet. This boy ✨ We are honestly so proud of Milo and how far he’s come with his training recently. Our second time at Gundog Training this morning and he smashed it! We’ve never done any group training with Milo previously as we were so scared of him ruining the class by wanting to play with every dog! Completely our fault for probably over socialising him when he was smaller. His engagement and focus is incredible and he throws himself into everything. Now to practise more at home!

Drive is built in. That’s the easy part with this gentleman. It’s the restraint and discipline that needs work. Using the Huntmark place boards has really helped to give this retrieve crazy beast the physical reminder of where his butt should be. With too much of a body shift, one foot slips off the board and he is instantly reminded to correct his position. He’s so cute! I’ve not taught Forest a hold or sit to present but he seems to naturally do it. My main focus with retrieves is making sure he always delivers to hand which I will be consistent with!
