#53 "Walnut-shell Surprise" from the "Amusements" section of Samantha's book. I decided to make an Easter basket with this craft. I painted the top and used tissue paper in the bottom of the shell instead of the foil the book called for. I underestimated how difficult it would be to open a walnut without crushing the shell. This was very difficult to photograph. The shell would not sit without falling over, and it would not stay open. I hope you guys are getting ready for Easter 🐣! The tiny baskets 🧺 I found at thrift stores however I have seen many available on Etsy! As for my eggs and flower crowns I was able to craft them! So the supplies for the doll sized eggs and the base or material of the crowns I was able to find at the 99 cent store ! The fabric flowers can be found at most craft and fabric stores. To make the crown you shape into a circle and use a doll as a model to make sure it fits, then you use a glue gun to secure it! After that you simple glue the flowers on! For the eggs I painted them using acrylic paint and it did take a few coats, after that I sealed them with clear glossy Mod Podge, I looked up some examples of eggs during the Victorian/Edwardian period and many of them had painted flowers.
