«Es como esos juegos de encontrar las diferencias 😅» +𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 (𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 - 𝟭𝟵𝟵𝟬) - - - - - Hace ya un tiempo me crucé con este detalle y me quedó pendiente, hasta ahora, y son esas cosas lindas de ver desde mi punto de vista 🙂. ◾ Cuando Monkey Island estaba en desarrollo era normal que muchos elementos se dibujaran y luego no se usarán, se realizarán cambios o se eliminaran por motivos comunes de esa época que ahora no pasa, como achicar el juego por que no entra en una determinada cantidad de disquetes 😞. ◾ Este detalle fue uno de esos que desaparecieron por esos motivos, si aún no vieron la tercera imagen (en donde se ve con lujo de detalle la animación 😄) habrán notado que en esta intro el fuego del vigía está animado, cosa que la intro original no es así, y es más, tiene humito saliendo 😁. ◾ Alguien se tomó el trabajo de hacer eso y lamentablemente al empezar la recta final para cerrar el juego, y ver que se habían excedido en la capacidad que podían ocupar, se decidió sacarlo. Esto pasó con personajes, animaciones y fondos 😬. We had a slight change of plans for our streaming schedule this week (and I’m accidentally posting this late, but let’s not dwell on that)! * Tuesday: Instead of streaming on Monday (because of a dentist appointment), we’ll be streaming on Tuesday instead! Since we didn’t get a change to play The Phantom of Venice on Friday, we’ll be diving into this mystery tonight. * Friday: After some technical issues, we’ll be trying Stardew Valley one more time. «Hace 34 años que una tercera sombra está cerca 🌙» +𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗺 (𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 - 𝟭𝟵𝟵𝟬) - - - - - A raíz de este aniversario me pareció buena idea compartir algunas curiosidades de esta gran obra de Brian Moriarty junto algunas imágenes del juego 😁. ◾ Los tres ancianos del gremio de los tejedores toman sus nombres de las Moiras que en la mitología griega personificaba al destino: Cloto: Quien hilaba el hilo de la vida. Laquesis: Quien media con su vara la longitud del hilo de la vida y Atropos: Quien era la que cortaba el hilo de la vida 😲 (Imagen 4-5). ◾ Mark Ferrari para conseguir el tono de verde correcto para la ciudad de los cristaleros se inspiró en las antiguas botellas de coca cola 😀(Imagen 6-7). ◾ Al mismo tiempo por insistencia de Moriarty mucho de los fondos se basaron en el trabajo de Eyvind Earle un veterano ilustrador de Disney 🙂(Imagen 8-9). ◾ Moriarty quería que el juego tuviera soporte para la tarjeta Roland, que daba mucha mejor calidad de sonido. Si tenías la suerte de poseer ese sistema eras premiado con una introducción más larga al inicio del juego 🥹. ◾ Había dos secuales planificadas: The Forge donde Rusty del gremio de los herreros terminaba siendo líder de un grupo de rebeldes intentando destruir completamente a Caos sin conseguirlo. «Un tarea cósmica ☄️» +𝗧𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲 (𝗖𝗼𝘀𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗱 - 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰) - - - - - “Cuando Leo es convocado por el magistrado y este le avisa que va a ser expulsado de la academia para chicos con habilidades especiales al menos que cumpla una última tarea, acepta hacerla sin dudarlo. Por ende es transportado junto a otros tres estudiantes a un misterioso planeta. Al llegar ahí se percata que algo raro estaba sucediendo y que el magistrado tenía otros planes para ellos.” ◾ Otra aventura que ve la luz hoy de parte de Cosmic Void, que desde 2019 viene sacando juegos con diferentes estéticas siendo una de las más destacadas Blood Nova 😃. ◾ En Twilight Oracle nos ponemos en el papel de Leo un joven estudiantes un poco vago que solo piensa en surfear y quien posee habilidades para respirar debajo del agua 😲. ◾ Es un juego con argumento cómico, buenos diálogos y una historia bastante ingeniosa lo cual lo hace muy llevadero y entretenido. Tiene sistema point and click clásico con inventario combinable 😉. ◾ Cuenta con un arte muy detallado el pixel art, con colores muy saturados y vibrantes muy particulares y únicos del estilo del desarrollador. «Hace 10 años apareció el primer gran éxito del micromecenazgo 😮» +𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝗲 (𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 - 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟰) - - - - - En 2011 mientras era entrevistado para un documental sobre Minecraft por 2 Player Productions a Tim Shafer se le propuso la idea de hacer un documental sobre el próximo proyecto de Double Fine 🤔. ◾ Entre ambos charlaron de la posibilidad de que tipo de juego podrían hacer y Schafer rememoró algo que hacía más de 10 años que no desarrollaba, una aventura gráfica, siendo la última que hizo Grim Fandango 🥹. ◾ En ese momento se percataron que en ese entonces ir a publicista y decir que querías hacer una aventura gráfica era un rotundo no, pero una plataforma recientemente aparecida abrió la posibilidad de tener financiamiento directo de los fanáticos, kickstarter 😁. ◾ A través de un tráiler que publicita el documental se propuso también el futuro lanzamiento de este proyecto, para el cual pedían $400.000 dólares y terminó recaudando $3,45 millones de dólares, convirtiéndose hasta ese momento en el videojuego más apoyado 😃 (Imagen 5). ◾ Llamado inicialmente Double Fine Adventure, Broken Age terminó costando más de lo recaudado y su desarrollo se extendió tanto que tuvo que ser dividido en 2 actos 😬. ◾ Contó con la participación de las voces de Jack Black, Elijah Wood, Pendleton Ward y Wil Wheaton entre otros 🙂.
