I am working on expanding my portfolio a of work and try out new workflows, and in this case I wanted to make a series of architectural visuals using Unreal Engine, just to see how far I could get with realtime renders. All renders have a bit of post production done in affinity photo as well. The project is a public bath designed as an addition to the soviet spaceship of a building called Linnahall in Tallinn, Estonia. 倉橋島室尾・西の湯2011年。 「あいさつでつながる明るいくらはし」 開いている時間には、暖簾が出ていたと思う。風呂屋の中は、撮らなかった。 ふた晩とも番台に人はいなかったから、代金を番台に置いて入った。いくらだったか忘れたけれど、ずいぶん安かった気がする。 薄暗い風呂場の床とか湯船が石なのが珍しく思ったのと、湯船に板で蓋をしてあったのを覚えている。ふた晩めには、前日に常連がしていたのに倣って、熱い湯を蓋板でかき混ぜてから入った。 遠い思いがした。 こういう海辺の小集落の、昔ながらの風呂屋というのは、当時でもだいぶ少なかったと思うけど、今でも入れるところはどこかにあるんだろうか。 この後、いくらかの旅先で、同じように鄙びた風呂屋に入ることはできたが、それ以上に多く、そんな風呂屋の、店をたたんで建物だけが残っているのに出会った。 ひと昔前なら、そこらじゅうにこんな場所が当たり前にあって暮らしていたのだと思うと羨ましくもあり、もう少し早く腰を入れて出かけていればもっと入れたのにと、悔しくもある。 駆け込みとはいえ、そういう時代のひとかけを、生きて実体験できたということを有難く考えて、記憶しておこうと思う。 #町歩き #路地 #路地裏 #町並み #日常風景 #古い建物 #japanesearchitecture #japaneselifestyle #銭湯 #銭湯巡り #publicbath #フィルムカメラ
