It was a fun little weekend at Ravencon. We decided to attend just a couple weeks ago but we also made the decision to debut new costumes. Sometimes we do things fully intending to compete. Other times we make things for fun. And then sometimes we make things for fun and compete anyway! Which is the category that the new costumes fall under. Can't wait to share photos of them. For now I'm finishing off the row of Rose with a picture shot inside the convention center this time. Its nice to have a Sakizou costume that actually isn't terribly involved. When I was working on Rose, I realized that I needed something to pose with. I'm not very good when it comes to posing and feel a lot more confident when I have something in my hands. Otherwise I feel like I hit the same generic pose every time. Luckily there was a sword in the image so I was able to go with that as one option. Then I decided to also make a bouquet of felt flowers as a second prop option. The nice thing with the sword is I made sheath and a loop on the belt for it to go into so that I don't always have to hold it. Sometimes there aren't things in the reference image to go by but as long as you can make them feel cohesive with the costume, they can add just another element. Представляю Лучший пошив и спецприз! 🤩 Не костюм, а вызов: я впервые делала корсет, коркасную укладку парика, красила ткань, работала с ворблой, жгла ткань, работа с липкой витражной краской, красила перья и тд. Костюм сделала за 6 месяцев, ушло 4 метра портерной ткани и 10 м шифона, 4 парика, километры вручную пришитых лент и тесемок, кубометры вдыхаемого дыма от сожжения платья, 3 м синтепона, перед корсета вообще окрашен кофе. Just two lovely flowers out on a stroll one February day. We hadn't actually planned on doing a photoshoot in these costumes but when half our group ended up sick at Katsucon, instead of making them put on the MKR outfits for a second time, we opted to change it up to these costumes since they were the only other thing we had that matched. Bodice done! Wanted to show some of the secrets up in here. First: y'all see from my last post that I'm losing weight! That means constant adjustments!! The way I went about making the bodice adjustable without taking the whole thing apart every time is by putting panels around the zipper so that it can be easily taken in or released in one spot. p cool right? Second: the panel flap thing! I wanted to be able to put the bodice on like a jacket so I could easily get myself in and out of it. This is the least breathable fabric in the world so it was important to me that I am able to undo it ASAP if my handler were to walk away. The flappy is closed with a bunch of hook and eyes! Third: wing holes™. I put some nice clean ass holes in the back so I could slip the wing supports inside. As a bonus the last photo is with some other pieces all put together! Also I forgot to put on the necklace and it really completes the bodice but oh well. I feel like a monarch and my kingdom is my gross basement. #seraphim #seraphimcosplay #sakizo #sakizocosplay

A long awaited Sakizo update. I made some strong progress on the collar and wig. I still have 3 panels to embroider then I need to start tacking them all together which is the biggest next step. #carnevaleinprimavera 本日も13:00-18:00開催中です。 アップルパイドレス制作課程の続きをちょっと記録します。 🍎りんご柄の刺繍ベルト これは白い部分をどうするか悩み、サテンステッチ、アップリケ、レースのモチーフを切り取って使う等試した中で1番綺麗に仕上がった方法がこの縫い返しアップリケだったのでこれでいきました。 袖の部分と同じクリーム色のタニポンという生地を使っています。もう一枚は接着芯を同じ形に切り取り、二枚を中表に縫い返し、アイロンをかけてぺったんこにします。それをベルトに並べて種のステッチで固定してから、リンゴの周りをボタンホールのような細かいブランケットステッチでかがり、とめつけました。 ちょっと形が歪なものもありますが、それも味わいということで😅 🍎アップルスリーブ まんまるの形を切り替えで出してみたくて、まずは紙工作。それからパーツの形状を切ったり貼ったりで修正して切り開き、白14枚と皮13枚のパーツで切り替えました。片袖だけで27枚、全て違う形状というちょっとあほなことをしてしまいました😓 🍎見頃とヨーク もしかしたらイラストではファーストアップルちゃんの様にデコルテ部分は肌を見せているのかもしれませんが、今回は白いヨークにしました。どんどん厚みが増していくので、全て手縫いです。 いつもは袖付けをシャツスリーブの様に最後に脇縫いすることが多いんですが、今回は袖を筒状にしてから見頃と縫い合わせています。 #dolloutfits #dollclothes #petapetapattern #sakizo #unoa #cherrypie #applepie #ribbon

アップルパイ🍎のスカート部分 ラティス部分はスモッキングを使ってみました。見た目のインパクトは凄いですが、これは意外と難しくないので楽しく進みました。(ちょっと多く作り過ぎて、余ってしまったくらいです。) パイ生地部分はピンタック、ピケ穴はかがって作りました。目打ちで穴をあけて、その周りを細かく巻きかがり縫いする事でカットワーク刺繍のような表現にできたのではと思います。あくまで「〜のような」というものですが。根性があれば、綿レースも手縫いでオリジナルのものが作れそうですね。 リンゴスライスも最初はスモッキングや刺繍でできないものかと考えたんですがどうにも上手くいかず、やっぱり見た目通りに立体でぬいモチーフを作り、繋げてブレードにしました。 ねじねじのパイ部分は、共布ループを作って、それをねじりながらとめつけ。 スカートの裾が固くしっかりしているので、パニエいらずでスカートが広がります。 #dolloutfits #dollclothes #petapetapattern #sakizo #unoa #cherrypie #applepie #ribbon #smocking #CARNEVALEinPRIMAVERA
