We had so much fun today over at Sci-port, talking about paddlefish and their amazing abilities! These living fossils have been around for over 300 million years, predating the dinosaurs! Unlike many other fish, paddlefish feed by filtering water through their gill rakers to capture tiny plankton. They swim with their mouths wide open, collecting food as they go. Learn more about these extraordinary creatures and how we can all help them survive during our 5th annual Paddlefish Festival on March 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the aquarium! Today the mom meet up was at Sciport. For people that aren’t local, Sciport is this science based Children’s museum that has an AMAZING play area for small children. It’s called the “power of play” museum. It’s a really great place to let the kids run around because it’s educational, safe, and AIR CONDITIONED. In Louisiana where the heat index is hitting over 105 consistently - that’s basically required for daytime outings. 🤣 We had a blast! Charlotte is work out and napping hard.
