Sometimes I wonder if iโm the only one out there that has a soft spot for rubber ducks ๐ฆ iโve gone through different phases of loving them in life, from having one prized possession to owning dozens of all of those differently dressed mini ducks to having a conceptual obsession with them. When I created this color story, I really wanted to show case rich yellows and bold blues without involving a bunch of green (which is my typical go to) and I think I was able to offset it nicely with the more warm leaning turquoises. I pulled out September Rose's Slush Palette and saw they had a shade called pink lemonade and knew I had to use it. I used a liquid lipstick from Sugarpill as a base to get the depth on the lids that I wanted and added a glitter topper from Makeup Revolution just for a little shine. I painted my lashes with water activated face paint. I feel like they might look green but I like the pop it made. Similar to the solar amethyst vibe of two prominent colors, i used this as a way to transition from one color to another in the palette. I typically avoid putting certain blues and reds together because we are always one step away on treading into July 4th worshippers. Makeup Inventory 2023 ๐จ Eyeshadow Palettes (I consider an eyeshadow palette to contain 6 pans or more). ๐จ Photo 1 = BeautyBay ๐จ Photo 2 = Revolution ๐จPhoto 3 = Colourpop ๐จ Photo 4 = Huda, Juvia's Place, Sample Beauty & Zoeva ๐จ Photo 5 = Morphe, Urban Decay, ABH, Nabla, Uoma, bh Cosmetics. ๐จ Photo 6 = Indie Brands (difficult to tell whose still classed as an Indie brand, so I went with those I definitly know). ๐จ Photo 7 = Misc brands. ๐จ Photos 8 - 9 = 2022 inventory Palettes is the largest product category in my makeup stash. It's something I've struggled to reduce to a more sensible number because I find it very difficult to declutter them as they're usually the items I spend the most money on. Even the terrible palettes I try to use enough times to 'justify' the purchase. ____________________________ Total = 131 2022 = 131 2021 = 45 2020 = 29 2019 = 19 2018 = 8 2010 - 2017 = 6 2009 = 5 2008 = 4 I've actually decluttered 14 palettes since last inventory was taken. I've been quite ruthless, mainly because a couple I liked expired and I'm fed up with keeping sub-par palettes when the ones I like are going off. Life is too short and I have too many eyeshadows to keep trying to make them 'work for me'. I mind having 45....45 is too many ๐ Some of that was because I was trying to find a non-glittery green that wasn't blue toned, which I did (17 has a nice one).
