🚨 New Touch of Glam 🚨 Hey yall, hope everyone’s having a good week. It’s been a while since I’ve had new @touchofglambeauty shades so I’m super excited about these. This post is part 1 bc there are 21 shades total in an array of different formulas. I don’t think I’ll have room to touch on each shade individually so I’m gonna try go over them by formula. All of the ones that have holo in the name are holographic multis. TOG makes some of the best holo shadows. We have really pretty purple to pink, a red to orange and a really nice taupe pink to green type of shade. These are the same or similar to her other holos, they’re really smooth with a ton of fine holo particles and nice shifts. There are also some mattes, a really deep cool brown and a black in this set, but there’s some more colorful ones for part 2. These are my first tog mattes, I haven’t used them in a look yet but based on how they feel and swatch I have really high hopes for them. Formula wise they kinda remind me of TM, soft and highly pigmented. Oh Biscuits is a birthday formula shade which is my fav formula from TOG, it’s a Champaign with a pink base, a blue shift and lots of sparkle. There are more birthday formula shades in part 2. Roses are dead is a true red metallic. Sweet Revenge is a smooth shifter, a purple to green. Formula is similar to the unnamed collection. The Gobling Goblin is a deep iridescent and I LOVE this shade. My pictures do not do it justice, some of these are hard to show how pretty they are because there’s so much multicolored sparkle that’s hard to catch. I guess I’d say it’s a tan base with a bluish green shift and a ton of pink silver and blue sparkles. It’s a really unique shade imo. These release on May 1st. I’ve used Unearthly – Warms My Blood and Adept Cosmetics – Samarian Sunset to create this look. I wanted to do a true red monochromatic look but the red shimmer in Warms My Blood palette kept creasing so, I had to top up with another shade from Samarian Sunset. I like how this look came together but I doubt it will last more than a few hours. I don’t have issues with excessive creasing (not even with Roen quads) so, this was a little disappointing. Haven’t posted in a bit because I didn’t wear makeup as much. When I did, I wore simple eyeliner or repetitive eyeshadow looks. I was really craving a red eyeshadow look today. Variations of red used to be my jam and in 2011/2012, it was pretty hard to find before Morphe 35O came out and basically introduced a warm tones era, and before ABH Modern Renaissance cemented it. This look is brought to you by @ve_cosmetics (Bought by myself, but I have an code with them at the bottom of this text) I was recommended a certain lip gloss by my beautiful follower @keeping.the.red (give her a follow okay) and when I started to investigate their products I all of a sudden had a full cart. For this look I used the Blood Moon Palette which is an all matte palette that has purples and grays and reds and guess what - this is right up my alley. But because I cannot do all matte looks - well I can, but I just wanna sparkle like Edward in Twilight, I added the @slayfirecosmetics Glitter in Blood Moon (how fitting!!) and for my inner corner I used the shade Ghosted from Slayfire. Personally I think this is an awesome palette. The formulation itself is definitely dryer and I would even say the driest in my whole collection which is not a bad thing I guess. Since these colors are very intense and intimidating looking, a dry formula that need some building can be helpful to not over apply. I personally wish these were more impactful - but that is just my taste. The downside of this formula is that is swatches really bad. It took me 3-4 layers to get an opaque color on my arm but you know - swatches don’t tell the story!
