Tidying up the carbon engine lid and evening out all the vents to the same gap size. Satin painted vents now. A good cut with compound and finish with @shadowsportuk @luxurioussheen final stage polish. First fire up and drive with the new battery from @leochbatteryuk, an equivalent to the pc680 by odyssey. 100% comparable and half the price. Comes in at the same weight as the pc680 and over 15kg lighter than the stock battery. I would recommend it. Bit of data logging on the way. Slight miss which needs a dressing at around 3k when holding the revs under load. So the odyssey pc680 gave up the ghost (my fault) and stumbled across this budget equivalent AGM battery. For the price it was worth the chance. 25ah rather than odysseys 16ah with the same 680cca and dimensions. Also coming in half a pound lighter. Awaiting a cage to mount this one better. I found out the battery terminals were 5mm so re threaded them to m6 to accept the post type terminals I have. The old battery tray is gone and a plate cut to shape and bent to suit the mr2s floor pan. The battery will mount horizontally on this plate now.
