There's actual context if you read past the first section 🤣 for those that care Incorporating the Ididit Racing EK column has proven to be a little challenging. I'm using the column for a few reasons: 1) the seat position is moved back 8" and is mounted to the floor. The factory column depth and angle would not be sufficient. 2) nobody makes an Accord column. The angle is finally where I want it. @papaerns_pineappleexpress reinforced the upper column bracket. After reinstalling the modified bracket the desired result was still not achieved... While tightening the lower OEM bracket the angle finder was attached to the column, as tightened the angle was decreasing. Something I had just overlooked while designing the bracket. You'll see the reinforced upper bracket in pic 2 and the gap needed to achieve optimal angle in pic 3. Pic 4 shows the remedy (lower bracket shims) however another issue has surfaced. With the lower bracket gapped to achieve the correct angle, there's now a gap at the top of the column. If pulled down on the column it will now pivot. This remedy will be as easy as a few measures and 3d printing a shim to fill the void. Something that seemed so simple in theory has definitely taken a bit more thought and energy but through that problem solving process you grow and get better at whatever it is you're setting out to achieve. Being a fixed location it’s time to fine tune alignment from the VC to TC to achieve accurate precision to finalize it. Yesterday was the first time back in the OUTLAWD since WCF2023 over 5 months ago. My helmet and suit were actually moldly from sitting in the bags since then! 🤮 First pass after a long break always comes with some nerves, and this time I was especially anxious with it being the first test of the Albins 6spd sequential in AWD form. It’s a lot different than the H-pattern I’m used to and I have no muscle memory or shift timing burned into my brain yet for this combo so we decided to turn it way down to 1300hp and just get a lap in to get comfortable with it. As usual the track is still green this time of year and it spun hard all through 1st with a horrendous 1.27 sixty ft. I banged 2nd and it spun even worse so I instantly upshifted to 3rd at only about 100ft out (don’t blink watching the in-car or you’ll miss it) - it hooked up at that point and I was able to drive it down. Went nice and straight after that and ran a 7.44 @ 189.95mph with a terrible short track. Good news is the trans worked perfectly! 🎯 Went over the data and turned the power way down in 1st/2nd and gave it another 300hp after that. We were having some dropout issues with speed sensors that caused a few random limiter cuts so we made an air gap adjustment on them and went out for another pass. Left a bit better with a 1.23 sixty and then started hitting a limiter in every gear so I just kept shifting it as soon as it hit a limiter. At 920’ it hit the limiter again and I kept yanking for another gear but it was already it top gear so I just rode the limiter to the stripe since it was an elimination round. Turns out it had no drive speed signal at all so it was stuck on the launch limiter the whole pass and wouldn’t rev over 9k, went a slow 7.62 @ 182.13mph but took the win! Got some decent data to work with and some valuable seat time with the trans - time to tidy up some details and get ready for the next outing where we can hopefully start pouring power back in and make some fast passes. #SpeedFactoryRacing #ReturnOfTheOUTLAWD #BeastSeries #BAWD

I’m not normally one to put my business out on social media, but the way @twistedmotion has handled this whole situation has been awful. Regardless of whether it was an issue on my end or theirs with the turbo being bad… don’t agree to take it back on warranty and then just basically ignore me after that. They have basically stolen my property at this point. I’ve already spoken to Nevada Consumer affairs and am about to file suit against them. What an awesome day for the entire crew today! #SteenFamilyRacing showed up with three cars @importfaceoffofficial today at @theplacetorace Couldn't have asked for much better outcomes and we will get any quirks sorted and be back for the next one as well. - Todd's D16 turbo CRX had some axle issues after the only qualifier but got it swapped out and he pinched out a win in eliminations and made his way to the Finals. Sadly had another axle failure in the finals but still took runner up in his first ever IFO event and in the FWD class! - Ricky's FWD turbo civic shook some cobwebs loose and ran a personal best with the car after not driving it for almost 3 years. 9.40 to the 1/4!! Unfortunately was not enough to beat an 8.20 and we got eliminated. - The Steen Family Racing AMP Blue civic aka Trudy did amazing all day with all the support from @turbogixxertuning to ensure things worked the way they are designed. Ran a PB in the finals with a 10.45 @ 129 reigniting the desire to keep pushing the car even faster. Not the exact way I wanted to end @officialhday but this is a part of racing. I was happy to make a few rounds in the MARSHTUNING All-Motor pro class. Also able to improved my time of 9.40 @ 145 on the top 10 @ogs1320 list 🤙 I qualified #1 in Q1 with a 9.45 @ 144 and made it all the way to the semifinals against @joeybuiltracing until a rod decided to leave the chat in 3rd. Waiting on parts to show up so I figured I'd mock up the bumper and grill to gauge how much trimming I need for the intercooler to clear. It's looking about no more than an inch at the bottom where the opening meets the lip.The webbing will definitely need to be completely removed. Also the Mugen grill will clear the tabs that'll come off the top of the radiator to the top of the intercooler. I love it when a plan comes together.
