DAY 1: THE BIG MOVE Forget the furniture, our first big challenge was how to move our 4 chickens πthe 200 miles to our new home in Shropshire. In order not to move them during daylight hours when they would need to eat and drink, we started our journey very early in the morning, a few hours before daylight π. We loaded them into a very large cardboard box π¦keeping it dark for them and therefore keeping them settled and mostly asleep. With a brief stop to check on them, we were soon introducing them to their new home. They seemed unphased by their journey and didn't waste any time in getting going on the gardening πΏ....wish we were as motivated. π΄ #stmartinsoswestry #oswestry #stmartinseggs #happyhens #soyfreechickens #themoorshouse

St Martins Superstar β¨ A few years ago Oli was spotted by the England and Wales Transplant Cricket team bowling at the British transplant games in Birmingham. Oli was only 12, and Transplant Cricket is not accessible normally until recipients are 18. Oli then received an email inviting him to join members of the team for a net session at Edgbaston. Oli was the youngest there by many years. They were all very impressed with his skills and gave some great feedback. Oli has now been invited to join them in playing a few games next year. St Martins Superstar β¨ Annabelle started playing rugby aged 8 at Oswestry rugby club and played mixed rugby up until the U11s. She then began playing for Oswestry rugby club Girls and is currently a member of the u16s team who will be participating in the national Cup this season. Annabelle successfully trialled for the England rugby player development program - North Midlands this season and trains twice a month at Birmingham and Solihull. This is incredible Annabelle. He has been to two agricultural shows and he loves to go to market to sell and buy livestock. Steven has recently appeared at the Oswestry and Glyn Ceiriog Show with his sheep. As you all know, we are raising funds in aid of Brain Tumor Research today. Here is a little bit about why this cause has been chosen, written by our lovely Mrs Penrose: Our Granddaughter Ella, went to bed last December, a typical, happy, horse loving 13 year old girl and tragically never woke up. We later discovered she had a high-grade glioma tumour, she showed no signs or symptoms of this, which came as a huge shock to us as a family. Our beautiful girl taken so suddenly and cruelly has left a huge hole in our hearts We are hoping to raise awareness and money to help fund research into this heartbreakingly cruel disease. St Martins Superstar β¨ Nelly has danced from the age of 3 with Border Counties dance. She takes classes in freestyle, ballet and competition. Nell has only recently joined the competition team and has recently danced in Swansea, Alfreton and Wakefield . In the next few weeks, she will be taking part in competitions in Much Wenlock and Blackpool. Nelly has already experienced success having many call-backs and winning a medal for her street dance performance.
