Week one of half term done! ✅ .. Lovely week celebrating my 30th, visited the Crocky Trail with friends (about an hour away from me!) stayed the whole day 11-5 it was the best weather day and we really enjoyed it - my daughter ended up doing 13000 steps! 😯. Met up with some friends for breakfast, my daughter went to dance club for one day (her request!) and then outdoors roller skating and park visiting! I’m back to work today, so it’s a day a Nannie’s! As you know we love @crockytrail well I've just seen they do an annual pass. I love an annual pass as this means you have paid upfront and then as long as you go 3 times in the 12 months it's always worth it. I personally think the Crocky Trail is one of the best days out you can have with kids. Running around, balancing, being scared on drop slides, playing football, going on inflatables. Adventures with daddy Charlie is back in work now and with this miserable weather it definitely feels like summer is over. We had so much fun at @crockytrail last Thursday. We wanted to do something fun to mark the end of Charlie’s time off with us and we all had such a good time. Amy surprised us in so many ways while we were there from things she could do to things she wouldn’t do! My dare devil was afraid of one of the slides but more than happy to walk across anything and everything. Being little means she has a great centre of gravity and having small feet meant that some of the obstacles were a piece of cake for her! Wow! What a day 😅 @crockytrail WELL WORTH THE MONEY! It was an hour and 20 minutes away but worth it all. We’ve been to really expensive days out and felt abit meh or it’s alright but not worth the price tag. This was around the £50 mark for four and worth every single penny! You couldn’t be bored here, there’s something for everyone! It’s aimed more for over 5s there is little slides for younger ones but I’d recommend @habberleytrail for younger children and a million percent @crockytrail for older ones! I even saw lots of teenagers having a fab time here, adults letting their inner child out, was lovely to see! You all know I love a dog friendly place too as I love my fur child and anything to avoid leaving him at home. There was so many cute doggies there. 😍👌🏻 Water supply too, just remember to bring your own bowl. Plenty of toilets and bins surrounded, loads of benches to eat your own picnic or they have a reasonably priced cafe too! Ice cream was amazing 👌🏻 Check their website for all the rides and restrictions. The Crocky Trail The Crocky Trail never disappoints when you are after an adventurous day out. We went along on a semi warm day in August. We arrived just after 10 am when it opened to see the car park already pretty full, but even with this, we still got on everything we wanted. There was never a queue of more than a couple of people on the activities or in the cafe. We spent 10 am till 5 pm running, sliding, playing basketball connect four, balancing on beams and bridges, and generally having amazing fun together. We normally take a picnic but this time we wanted to try the cafe. Between 2 adults and 4 children, we ordered 3 of their 10-inch pizzas and a jacket potato. The pizzas are freshly made in the cafe using a pizza oven, and I was so impressed that from ordering to having them on our table was less than 10mins. We felt that having half a pizza was the equivalent to having a sandwich, so we still did have some extras with it that we brought from home. It was definitely a nice treat and a change to a semi warm sandwich from my bag. After lunch and playing at the main activity site, we set off on the trail. We were on this for at least an hour. The girls really enjoyed the connect four basketball games and the wall bangers. Fighting against each other on both. The rope swing had a bit of a queue on, but this is as it's soooooo good. We all had 3 goes each on that before moving on. One of the highlights has to be The Barrel Crawl. Where you have to slide along straddling a line of barrels that move and make you fall off onto the crash mats below at the slightest wrong move. The girls were laughing their heads off while on this. Since my last visit, a lot of cosmetic improvements have been made, making the site look tidy and well kept. The Cafe at The Crocky Trail. Crocky Bites is the cafe you can visit while you're spending a day at The Crocky Trail. Their menu has a good choice of mea, s and I was impressed with how fast we got served out food. When you are at a fun and active place like The Crocky Trail, you just want a small rest and to refuel rather than a proper meal and having to wait for a long time. Crocky Bites have done this perfectly. With a choice of options including •Jacket Potatoes •Paninis •Salads •Woodford pizzas •Chicken Nuggets •Burgers •Chips There are just a few tables inside the cafe, but with how the food is served on paper plates and boxes, then you can take it outside and eat it at one of their many picnic tables.
