My Israeli adventure ended up in Jordan. Again 🇯🇴🤍 In all seriousness, this is a country I cannot get enough of. It's not my first visit and it's not going to be my last. I ended up purchasing the Jordan Pass and not even using it so now I have a non transferable pass in my name which only means one thing... Jordan,i will see you later this year. Again 😁
I've been wanting to visit this place for a very long time. For as long as I can remember I was always fascinated by places of worship, no matter the religion. I wanted to immortalise this moment, but putting a tripod on the floor seemed disrespectful (and I later learned forbidden), so that I could always travel back to this feeling of marvel whenever I look back at the picture (which is now also printed and framed on my desk). What is a solo traveller to do? I approached two guys with cameras and one sick looking gimbal and asked if they could take a picture. And here it is 🕊️✨ It ended up being a great decision because the three of us ended up hanging out for the day (and the next!) and travelled to Palestine together. It's amazing how fast you can just click with someone you have just met and end up discussing whether tampons and pads should be free in schools and universities 15 minuted later 😂 Every second of this trip was amazing, but they two days we spent together, especially the day spent in Palestine was the highlight 🕊️✨

I loathe coriander with a burning passion 🤢. 2. Whenever I travel, the first word I learn how to say in the local language is "coriander". Dhaniya in Hindi, kasbara (or kusbara) in Arabic, in case you were curious 🤓. 3. I cannot be in the same room with a stink bug. They freak me out immensely. Other bugs are fine 🐛. 4. I have been to France 10+ times, but I've never been to Paris 🗼. 5. I listen to Disney music and Pokemon songs regularly and in 3 languages 🎶. 6. My biggest bucket list item/experience is to go to Antarctica ❄️. 7. I was born in Rijeka (Croatia), however, I am Italian and that's my first language too. I only went to Italian schools and I had to move to Italy to go to college because my croatian was just not up to par 🎓. 8. On that note, I have two passports 🇮🇹🇭🇷. 9. I am a huge bookworm and I read 50ish books per year, but Harry Potter is still my favourite 📚. 10. Jordan is my favourite country 🇯🇴. How to choose your desert safari 🏜️🚙🌞🌵 - pick a company that is environmentally conscious, that doesn't do dune bashing because that is reeeeally bad for the environment. - choose a guide who can tell you something about the traditions and lifestyle of the desert people, the animals that live there and what is being done in terms of conservation. - when/if going to dinner, be very mindful of sigle use plastic. I have seen the desert covered in plastic spoons, forks and face masks and no one cares. - does your compamy support animal welfare? many animals live in the desert so it's important that the company you go with supports conservation projects. I went with @platinumheritage because they do everything of the above, plus you get to drive around in a vintage jeep, how cool is that? If you have the time I recommend you spend the night in their camp too.

The Jordan Diaries Season 1, Episode 9: The Cave If there is one thing you shouldn't do as a woman who travels alone to Petra, it's to go have dinner in a cave. Guess what this woman did? Went to have dinner in a cave. Although I only went because three other tourists, all men, also went so I felt safe. I also didn't eat or drink before all the locals had food or drinks from the same pots and pans because you can never be too careful. Turned out to be an amazing evening with great company, a sky full of stars, a fire and me dancing to Aladdin songs and obviously blasting Arabian Nights and, well, Halo cause that's Mohammed's favorite 🤣 I wasn't asked for money (weird) or any other favours (weird). Instead I was brought back to the hostel safely with an agreement to be picked up and dropped at the beginning of the Ad Deir trail (pictured) the next morning. Still waiting for those scams to kick in, but so far nothing strange to report (so weird).
The Jordan Diaries Season 1, Episode 4: The Damn Embassies After getting all the necessary stamps from 3 precints I contacted the Croatian Embassy in Cairo. Colossal mistake. Humongous mistake. Why in God's name didn't I travel with my Italian passport instead? (it expired prior to this impromptu trip, thass why). To make a long story short, they told me I had to fill a form, send it to Cairo, pay 33 euro via check (I mean, who does that? Still? Where on Earth can I do that in Jordan?), pay anothet 7 euro for express post, pay 10 euro for them to send it back to the consulate where no one speaks Croatian or English, to get an ETA (Emergency Travel Document) to leave the country. Fine. FINE! LET'S FILL THE FORM. Can't fill the form because the link is broken and it kept on telling me the website doesn't exist 🤦🏻♀️. Obviously the embassy was of no help. The next day I took a cab to the Italian embassy, without even taking an appointment, came in as if I was gonna tear the place down. I was given instructions on what to do and what documents to send via email and they'd let me know in a week, because obviously, it was the week before Easter and Italians do not work the week before or after Easter. Or on weekends. Obviously. So... Stuck in Jordan for now? 😂
well hello Amman 💚 i must say, the capital of jordan really surprised me. i was expecting total chaos as that's usually the word on the street, but in reality it's not that chaotic. sure there's traffic, but there's traffic in every big city. i'd describe it as vibrant, colourful and full of fun things to do. basically, when you come to jordan, don't spend just a day here on your way down to petra, give a Amman a chance, it might surprise you.

Budapest - Day 1 My trip to Budapest was nothing short of eventful. A classic example of things going from bad to worse in a few hours 😂 I arrived to Budapest 2 hours too late because we wede delayed at the border. Not even because of Covid. Actually no one was asked to show their Covid pass 🤷🏻♀️ Once in the hostel, I made my way to the dorm only to find a guy taking test tubes full of what looked like blood and urine out of his backpack and storing them carefully in his locker. So I asked to be moved to another dorm, where a guy was casually smoking pot on the window telling me that it's no issue because it smells nice 🤦🏻♀️ Third time's the charm and I was moved to my third, and female, dorm where everything was fine until the early hours in the morning when a girl decided to talk to someone on the phone at 4 a.m. ignoring the other 5 of us sleeping. So a big argument ensued when she was asked to leave 😅 That's it for day 1. Trust me, day 2 was worse 🤣

How to travel a LOT 🌍 I get asked how is it that I am constantly traveling a lot. From "how can you afford it" to "how do you find the time". Here's how. And no, not as a content creator, there are other ways too. 🌍 SEASONAL JOBS! This is my main source of income and it has allowed me to visit some incredible places. I usually work the summer season for 4-5 months, every year in a different location. Allows me to make enough for intercontinental travel for 4-5 months. ✈️ Online jobs! There are many platforms that offer all kinds of jobs like @fiverr 🏞️ Workaways! I've done so many workaways I can't even tell you! @workawayinfo is a platform that connects volunteers with hosts. Basically, you volunteer 4-6 hours of your time for 5-6 days a week in exchange for free accommodation and often free food. Workaways are available worldwide, just select a destination and see what's available. 📚 Teaching English, or any other language online. I've thought English and Italian for years. To teach English you need a TEFL certificate. 📝 Any skill you have can be profitable and monetized online. I've done everything from teaching languages, transcribing medical records, teaching yoga you name it. You just have to put yourself out there! 📸 Content creation and photography: I don't have a lot of experience here because I am just starting out. I recommend you go check Chas over at @through.the.llyns cause the woman is a fountain of knowledge.

I went to Rishikesh and joined a 200hour yogateacher course and our yoga group is still keeping contact ❤ on some pictures you see us river rafting on the holy river ganga. I can't swim and Im a bit afraid of deep water. With lifewests! We were swimming in the river, I can still remember the mountains surrounding us, the sounds of birds, water and the fresh smell ❤ And of course it happened later that our whole boat flipped up side down, me getting 2 people and a boat on top of me 😂 in that i accidentally punched one of my friends trying to get to the surface 😂 he was totally cool and laughing about it 🙈 it was perfect! To get out of the comfortzone, thinking I would die for 1 sec and then being totally okay 😄 it was the PERFECT thrill!" . . . However, after about 6 hours there she couldn’t handle it (she has autism) and flew home the next day distraught she was leaving me alone on my birthday as this was a birthday trip for my 29th. I was forced into doing my first solo trip and I am so glad I was! I had the best time by myself, I just felt so free! This picture is the first day on my own, it’s actually the first picture I asked a complete stranger to take of me. My actual birthday I explored lots of Rome, booked tours of the Vatican City, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica. I go back every year for a week or two or 4 LOL. Italy makes my heart happy. I have friends from my first visit over 9 years ago. I still speak with them, come and stay in their home while they are here in the States. It was so nice because it was an important night for Novi Sad, and I remember that I attended 3 open parties at the same time. Of course everyone was happy and dancy. 🤪 During the day I wondered in the city and talked to local and foreigners 🤩 They had adviced me to be careful with taxi drivers though, as in Belgrade if you don’t discuss the price beforehand or they don’t use taxi meters they might give you a higher price. But I didn’t need it as I mostly did bus or walking. The real struggle came when I had to come back. They were no direct flights so I took the Bus. The bus driver and his helper saw I was a solo lady traveler (who learnt how to greet in Serbian 😁) and they didn’t sit no one next to me. So yay! More room for my tired legs. But it was so awkward to fall asleep and wake up often to see that I had boys eyes all over me. I must have been their greatest mistery for the week. 😅" . . .
