๐ทThe tulip festival was so fun! I was really awesome to go with you all yesterday!! This year, the tulips were much more bloomed than last year, getting towards the end of their life. It is such a photo opp place ๐ but I liked Tulip Town, it wasn't too crazy there (but crazier than expected) But the fair was good! It was a nice day today!๐โค๏ธ So many flowers were out! Thank you guys for coming! I didn't get a many pictures as normal, because I was caught up in the conversations. We had a nice little walk, got coffee at Locus (love them) headed to the farmers market for a second, and stopped by It's the sweet things Bakery on the way back! (Although they didn't have any gf/Vegan stuff left, so I'll have to go back next week!) We actually saw some baby fish at the fish hatchery, and got the rundown from the lady there, it was so cool! ๐ It was a full little day for such a last minute walk lol. ๐คทโโ๏ธ We just kind of made it up as we went! This hike was so good it deserves 2 posts! ๐ As I said before, we found a stunning unknown gem with this trail. When we planned this hike, we didn't even know the name of the trail, or how long/difficult it was, but everyone was still up for it anyway! (Yall are incredible!) Sometimes the best adventures come out of not knowing what to expect! This day was absolutely perfect. Ask for Help & Be Bold: Don't be afraid to approach fellow travelers or locals for assistance. Most people are happy to lend a hand and capture that Instagrammable moment for you. Just be friendly, explain what you're looking for, and be ready to return the favor. ๐ค๐ 3. Utilise Natural Framing & Leading Lines: Look for natural elements like archways, doorways, or trees to frame your shots creatively. I've even leaned my phone against a bookshelf with a timer to get a shot. 4. Experiment with Angles & Perspectives: Get creative with your angles and perspectives. My parents had gotten their TEFL qualifications when they were younger and had recommended I do the same, so I always felt that if I was going to live abroad, I would make it happen by teaching English. Japan was the reason I did my TEFL course in the first place! I came here on holiday in 2018 and immediately felt like I wanted to live and experience life here, so I went and did the course. I used to be an over-packerโฆ. and my parents made the rule if you pack it, you carry it. We went to NZ when I was 15 and we moved hotel rooms every other night, and I had so much stuff with me, it became annoying to have to pack it up every night. So now I only take what I need. Here are tips on how Iโve managed to lighten my load: - pack outfits that mix and match and lots of layers - wear all your bulky clothes - Carry your jacket or hat, if theyโre bulky - packing cubes can be useful, although I prefer to roll all my clothes - take smaller sized toiletries - have a travel tripod And finally, if you havenโt worn it in the last year, you wonโt wear it on holidays, haha.
