Kann man das glauben ? Erst letztes Wochenende sind diese Bilder entstanden. Bei warmen 18-20 Grad konnten wir in Ruhe die Sonne genießen & gestern ?? Eiszeit inkl. Schnee !! Ne, das braucht niemand mehr ! Das Shooting mit diesen zwei Mäusen habe ich jedenfalls so sehr genossen . Nicht nur wegen des Wetters , sondern weil diese Familie einfach richtig Spaß hatte . Die Mama war schon im Vorfeld so bemüht , was die Outfits betrifft und war auch flexibel, als ich Mitte der Woche vorschlug , unser Shooting um einen Tag zu verschieben, weil dann das Wetter besser ist. Auch ich bin da stets auf der Hut um für euch das bestmögliche herauszuholen! Man darf als Fotografin nie vergessen , wieviel Mühe unsere Kunden oft in die Vorbereitungen stecken, welche Bedeutung das Shoot überhaupt für sie hat . Mich rüttelt es immer wieder wach , wenn meine Kunden mir erzählen , wie aufgeregt sie vor dem Shoot waren . Aufgeregt ??! Allein dieses Gefühl sagt soviel über unsere Kunden aus . Allein darin steckt doch schon eine gewisse Wertschätzung. Thank you so much for all the love for my first family video which I posted yesterday for the gorgeous Partridge’s family news! Being given that opportunity by a friend and fellow photographer really meant so much! Capturing video AND imagery on the same shoot, with the light disappearing and two young children was definitely a juggle but my god was it worth it! Low tide at Marshall’s Beach is pretty magical. ✨ The water was so low that we actually got to see some sea anemones that normally aren’t visible. Whether they’re visible or not, this location is great for those elementary age kiddos who love to explore. ❤️

Who doesn’t love a game of tickle monster.🧡🧡 Games and play are so important at my sessions. I don’t want you to look back at your photos and remember feeling awkward in a pose. I want you to look back and remember how it felt playing with your child and hearing their squeal of excitement! Before every session I always take the time to plan a few ideas of games and prompts I could use. Although these sessions are child-led and we go with the flow, I always try and visualise what might work with your family and how your photographs could look. My trip to Maui was so dang special. I got to spend time with one of THE most loving, supportive, and bonded families I’ve ever met. They welcomed me and Henry so warmly. They trusted me to document some of the most intimate moments of their lives. They invited us into their family and I will never forget it. • It’s impossible to capture the epicness of this session in just a few photos. Joy, family, togetherness, laughter, real life. Add in a guest appearance by some waves and one of the most stunning sunsets ever and it can’t get much better than that. Make time for family photos. I just spent more than twenty minutes writing a long note to accompany this post as to how my day had been an absolute calamity. My very own episode of boiling points. Today was short and grey. So I went back to August at the beach with one of my favourite families on earth. Dog tricks and little ears with new piercings. Flowers in our hair, collecting shells and pine cones. All of us soaked through, playing in the waves. 2024, are we there yet? 🙌🏼
As spring and summertime rolls around next year, so do the first wobbly steps of this years newborns. The first helping hand of a big sister or brother showing them the way. Out in the wild where the grass is soft and the sun is setting. Annual catch ups. Part 2, 3, 4, 5 and then some! With all of my little babies, ever changing. After last night’s stunning session I have claimed this place as my own and opened up some shoot spots before Christmas. I wasn’t looking forward to the end of the year. Felt like it would be sluggish and too quiet. The long days of summer gone. Dark mornings crept up quickly. The snooze button only ever half a pillow away, pushes itself at 7am. I’m finding that instead of yearning for things that are less in Winter, embracing all that is more is actually really lovely. Misty mornings. Pastel pink afternoons that have replaced golden evenings. Hot chocolate. Big jumpers. Carbohydrates 🫶🏼. Warm baths. Log fires. Quality time with all of my favourite people. Long evenings on the phone. Red wine. Afternoon naps. Reminding myself that we too are supposed to slow down now for a while. It will be spring time again before we know it.

Their 2024 session is in the diary. We have been on a journey together. Their first days as new parents. Fresh out of lockdown, all of us a bit bewildered but radiating so much pure happiness. The first newborn parents I had ever asked to take part. And because of their kindness and patience, it was so beautiful I decided to only capture love moving forwards. Opened the black out blinds, got rid of the studio light and went off in search of love. Bathed in sunlight. We’ve had tumbles in the grass followed by first steps at sunset. Another beautiful baby girl. A most important big sister promotion. And we have just come back around to first steps again. Only this time there was a little helping hand to guide her along the way and give a big kiss for doing so great. Their vibe is so authentic and gorgeous. I love it all so much. And those are my people. The ones who love and want to document it all just as much as I do. Thank you guys 🫶🏼
