🚨save for some BOLO brands 🚨 My thrift finds last week were insane! 🤯 I happened to stumble across a plus size woman’s entire collection of Flax - many pieces NWT- and I couldn’t be more excited about it. Each piece of Flax will probably garner about $40-$50 of profit! Tips for working SMARTER, not harder! 👇🏽 Working from home has taken some getting used to! I’ve had to set boundaries between work/home life to allow for more focused work and attention for my personal and work goals. Here’s what works for me! ✨ 💡 set work hours for myself: I like to dedicate at least 6 hours a day for reselling (bc if I’m not careful I can easily work for 12 😅 ). My “work” hours are between 10a-4p, Monday-Friday and Sunday 10a-2p (mostly for shipping) 💡 I try not to do house chores like cleaning, meal prepping or laundry during my work time. I really try to imagine myself “at work” the same way I couldn’t do those things if I were still teaching full time 💡 I put on nose canceling headphones and LISTEN 👂 to something instead of watching TV - this one’s hard to stick to bc I love TV but I am way more productive when I’m just listening to classical Baroque or a podcast than when I’m watching Good Girls 😱 💡 I use my @fullfocusplanner to keep track of my daily big 3 tasks to make sure I crush every day so that I can align with my weekly, quarterly & yearly reselling goals (like number of items listed each day, sales & profit) What do you do to maximize your work productivity to work smarter, not harder?! #teachtothrift #poshmark #ebay #mercari #productivity

(INCOMING) package pic! 📦 I’ve been on an organizing mission this week to accommodate housing nearly $6k in new inventory 😅😅 Working from home and sharing space with my husband while he works from home (thanks to COVID) can be challenging when you have a small space. $2,373 in weekend sales! 🔥🔥 And I just achieved another milestone this weekend: I hit my MONTHLY profit goal within the first 2 weeks of this month! 🤯🤯🤯 This has been a whirlwind of a month and I've been putting in way more hours than usual (if you can even imagine!). This quarter I've shifted my focus from selling gently used items to brand new items with tags, which I know more people would be more likely to shop for as gifts during the holidays. How I store 500 pieces of inventory in my home👇🏽 Organization has been one of my core competencies as an elementary teacher and now as a full time reseller. I knew that I would not be able to build a functioning and thriving business without detailed and specific processes in place, specifically surrounding inventory management. I finally landed on a system that has worked well for me in managing up to 500 pieces with speed, efficiency, and peace of mind. Here is my system: 🎯 FIRST, I have 12 (Sterilite 66qt ClearView) inventory bins which are labeled A-L 🎯 In each of those bins, I store my clothing. I have 30 Ziploc gallon sized freezer bags that are labeled with alphanumeric numbers (e.g., A1, A2, A3, and so on). Each time an item sells, I pull the freezer bag, take out the item, wrap it in a poly mailer and then file the freezer bag ready to be used over and over again. 🎯 NEXT, I have 6 (Sterilite 60qt ClearView Under Bed) inventory bins which are labeled AA0, AA1, AA2, AA3, AA4, and AA5. 🎯 In each of those bins, I am able to store about 10-15 pairs of shoes. I don't store those in plastic bins, but just place them inside the appropriate bin. 🎯 LAST, for anything that doesn’t fit in either storage bin, I hang or place in my closet. Each item has a specific place and home, and I indicate where each item lives, on my handy Google spreadsheet which I can access via mobile or desktop. Hope my method of storage helps you in your own organization goals! I strongly encourage you, wherever you are in your reselling journey, to keep detailed and consistent track of where your inventory is. This weekend I spent a lot of time doing some holiday decorating around my house 🎄 😍 I didn’t list any new items this weekend and I only spent about 3 hours yesterday shipping up all these packages, so all in all it was a great restful weekend! ☺️ Some weekend sales stats: 💰57 items sold 💰highest profited item: a serving platter I sold on Mercari 💰8 average days to sell (pleasantly surprised by this!) 🔥 💰$47 average sale price So far, this month’s sales are outperforming all other months of my entire reselling career. 🥳 I’m on track to profit 2x my normal monthly total and I'm hoping to see even more gains in the next weeks leading up to Christmas 🎅🏼 A lot of people ask me, “What platform is the best to sell on?”, and my best advice is to try them all!
