We all see things, but it’s about the way we see them, is what makes the difference! . . I was walking with a friend/colleague of mine when I saw this facade. I’m a person who’d choose gullies over vast/huge roads. It’s surprising as to how we all take the same route everyday, while getting home, a walk down the vegetable market, visiting a hotel for a regular lunch. And yet, we find something striking, always! So Kiran and I walked past this gully, and I stopped in front of this home for a brief moment. I remember seeing such a facade in one of my favourite movies (you can take a guess :3) I admired it, and will never stop admiring it. We took the same route back, this facade sitting with so much poise and elegance, I was a little hesitant to get my phone out and take a photo, but did it anyway. And just then, a lady came out. The urge to talk to her was seen, but then I had just taken a photo of her home (without permission) I tried giving her a smile and we fled. Next day, this facade pulled me back here, and this time I was among a group of friends. I saw an old uncle sitting out with a newspaper! Haha, the frame just keeps getting better. And I hadd to tell him how much I admired his home. And I did just that. “Hi uncle, your home is really beautiful! And I just cannot stop admiring it!” And the next thing I know, he invited us over, and told come home some day, I’ll be glad to show you the interiors! My happiness had no bounds! I’m glad we walked by this gully. I’m glad we found this home. I’m glad to create an image of it. And I’m glad to convey this to The Uncle! I don’t think I’d ever want to change that about me. The Vanity stood in a corridor between 2 bedrooms and a powder room. Compared to the over natural light in the house, this area was dimmer. To bring out the space, by not making it too loud and still having a statement, we laid out textured alabaster colour tiles, color blocked the sides of our vanity in a rusty red tint. For our storage below, we laid out a beautiful wooden textured laminate - Apex leaved elm by @merinoindia and black circular knobs!
