Ms. Lillie Maude aka Boobie Nanny was beating up fkboys and gutter rats back in the 1940s and 1950s etc and family was everything to her. She was the last of 12 children to leave this dimension and join the ancestors at 96 years old. I am forever pissed about the funeral situation and how they did my mother and us girls, but it's cool and karma is real. That's why I couldn't bring myself to post on her heavenly birthday cuz I get very emotional. She played no games in this life and I know half of my temper comes from her! LOL 🤣🤬 I love and miss her so much. I miss all her crazy stories and her southern drawl, her amazing cooking; her collard greens and hot water cornbread, her gumbo and "butter beans" etc etc were the sh*t and I didn't eat them unless she or my mother made them (her cooking lives on through my wonderful mother lol 😋). And I miss her laugh and her aura. She was always there for us and we were always there for her. 😢😢😢 I remember the dream I had the morning of her departure, so when my mother told me, I actually smiled because I knew she had already prepared me to hear it and I already had a feeling that morning: in the dream we were sitting on some porch, laughing and talking and watching the beautiful sunset. Out of nowhere she said, "Baby, Nanny is tired. I have to lay down." She got up, wrapped herself in a big blanket and headed inside. I said "No, just a little longer" to which she replied, "No, it's time for me to go, but baby everything is going to be all right." It was something about the way she said it. And she said what she always told me in life: "Y'all stick close to your mama and help her because she is all you got." And we hugged and cried for some reason. We chatted on some porch, watching the sun go down over a gigantic field. I helped you up and walked you over to a great big couch so you could lie down. Put the blanket over you, asked if you were comfortable and you said it was perfect. Then you hugged me and starting crying and told me everything was going to be all right, but that you had to go now. Uncle Peter came to me too, not long after he passed years back...brother and sister stayed watching out for us: both here in the physical form and beyond. My Boobie Nanny was the last of 12 children to leave this earth. I hope to live a life as long and as full as hers was 💎🙌🏾❤ Love you.
