In September we went camping with friends at Tolland State Forest with friends. It was lovely and I highly recommend it. Anyplace with water for swimming is a hit for the kids.

Final camp night in MA! Right before, I got my left mucker stuck in a mud hole death grip near the lake and had to retrieve it next morning.
In my younger adult life, I would venture out to the Berkshires in Massachusetts every summer and go camping at Tolland State Park located directly along Otis reservoir. We were in our early 20’s and the focus was always friends, swimming, and beer. Now that 40 has approached, I was working in the Berkshires recently and made a point of revisiting this area. Perspective and appreciation are funny things. Being older, I now appreciate the absolute beauty of Western Massachusetts. The scenery is breathtaking especially during fall foliage. The weather was horrible, but I still managed to fire off some decent shots. I wonder what perspectives I’ll have in another 20 years? #tollandstateforest #otismass #otisreservoir

Tolland State Forest Campground We are finally starting 2021! And this year, we added a kayak. We had a blast renting one last year. This state park is set right off the Otis Reservoir in Tolland MA (also along side Otis MA). It’s a no hookup location where you bring your own solar panel, water, etc. In return, it provides you with peace, acreage of water to relax on, and nothing but detachment from reality (although the cell service is insanely good surprisingly). And that’s a wrap on a big weekend of training and a big weekend of living. That was our first time back to the Berkshires without my grandpa.
