Plat rewind 037 is terminator salvation PS3. Obviously the classic achievement/trophy game from the early days of the 7th generation of games consoles. This game was famously not that good and a sales failure however it was a big success in the rental market for trophy hunting. Honestly not as easy or as quick of a trophy hunt as we’ve become used to thanks to the telltales and the indie games even easier than that, looking at you ratalaika games and green lava studios. As for the terminator franchise of games, haven’t played many except T2 on the SNES and this. As for the films one of my favourite franchises except genisys and I guess T3 for ruining the perfect ending of T2. I actually do really like Terminator salvation as film, many complained that without the single nemesis it wasn’t a terminator film, however I argue that it only worked as a concept since it was 1 enemy sent back in time, now it couldn’t be 1 enemy as we’re in the future and it had to realistically be a war not a massacre. So for example if the T600s were as OP as the T800s were in the first 2 films humanity would be done for. Late Shift is an excellent FMV game and a unique point in interactive cinema. It’s a vastly interesting new way to allow the viewer to change the outcome of the movie they are watching, but has the very odd position of trying to sell itself as neither a movie or a game, but at the same time, both. What I am most interested to see is how Late Shift impacts the future of media. It might just be a flash in the pan, but if we end up one day having an Oscar nominated film that is also a Game of the Year contender, I can safely say that Late Shift will be seen as the original piece of interactive cinema that provided the catalyst for that potential combined media future. The Bunker offers something a little different. It doesn't attempt to give you a bulk of gameplay or mechanics, but it makes up for this and more in its plot and characters. Don't let this experience pass you by if you're looking for an interesting and superb story, because we think this is the FMV genre at its very best. Strong acting and an interesting, creepy story make The Bunker very much worth experiencing at least once. The Shapeshifting Detective is proof that FMV titles can be done extremely well. Occasional repetition issues aside, The Shapeshifting Detective succeeds with strong character dialogue, a well-used morphing mechanic and its atmospheric setting. The Shapeshifting Detective is an interesting idea that seems to have love and care put into it. Unfortunately, it’s a little too basic, and despite the gimmick of changing into other characters, becomes dull after about an hour of play. The actual narrative is an interesting case however, with additional hinted backstory for your main character, which is somewhat compelling. The visuals and tone are good too, but the hit and miss acting and slow pace make for a slightly underwhelming shapeshifting whodunnit. The story was harder than I expected, the last levels of the game are without a doubt pretty challenging but thank God I could finish everything. There was an annoying trophy glitch in the end but the developers patched it some weeks after so finally I got the platinum. I recently finished Tales of Kenzera: Zau as it was part of the PlayStation Plus Extra Catalogue and it became my 248th Platinum Trophy. Plat 215 just fell bringing an end to a very productive April and it’s Jak and Daxter: the lost frontier PS4 edition. Already spoke about this game on the PS5 edition, so allow to summarise that while this has been described as the worst Jak and Daxter game which it may well be, it’s certainly not a bad game by any stretch. That said it does outstay its welcome more than once with some overly long sections which you’ll just get achy fingers from holding down the triggers too long. Also the most accessible trophy list of any Jak game. As for what’s next for me, I’m sitting here right now trying to decide. In my library ready to go is Kona PS5 edition (only recently found this for free upgrade buried in the storefront), I could pick up the Resi series again, last played Resi 5, don’t think I have a plat run in me so could go on to Resi 6 or revelations 1 to release me to play revelations 2 on my vita. Moreover I could purchase something, want to try medievil out of nowhere since I’ve never played it or do I start playing the crew games as NFS was so unfulfilling. Further to that after watching the excellent fallout series I feel like playing one of them if time wasn’t an issue, never played new vegas so would like to try it. Lastly still need to get Persona 3 reload on PS4. Plat 214 fell last night and it’s Jak and Daxter; the lost frontier PS5 edition, a pleasant surprise when this game was added to PS Plus/store and hopefully the start of more from the PSP. Also can we appreciate that if you purchased these games back in the PS3/PSP/PSV era that you get these games for “free” without PS plus or having to purchase them again, I mean it should be the standard but sadly not in this industry. Quite a straight forward platinum for me, that said I got lucky and did some of the missable trophies on the way and the two I missed could be picked up within 20 minutes of a hero play-through. Plat 035 is the wolf among us PS Vita back in 2017. Another telltale game and undoubtedly their best offering to date that I’ve played and I still haven’t played everything admittedly, even easy platinums isn’t a good enough reason to buy all of them. Great characters, great story and in particular great music and sound design, the intro is one of the finest and most stylish around. I believe I have played this game on PS4 also, I could by rights play it on PS3 as well and probably will one day. Plat rewind 031 is Game of Thrones PS4, another telltale game and one people seemed to have moved on from but one I actually quite enjoyed. As always the plat list is very simple and doesn’t require multiple play throughs or any collectibles or the like so that’s nice. The acting can be quite forced and since a lot of characters are from the series there’s little jeopardy and you know they’re gunna be untouchable and will have little effect on your story. That’s said it does have some of the best dialogue options of any tell tale game, so much so I actually really want to play this game again on PS3. And now the inevitable, the terminal decline of the series. I watched this series from day one on a wise recommendation from a friend that this series was gunna be banging based on him reading the books. The series did struggle after the books ran out, but nothing compares to how bad the last series was, I think the root of the problem was the series’ devotion to Maisie Williams making it the Arya stark show, in particular killing the night king, the stalking white walkers in winterfell, following her through the chaos of kings landing just getting people killed and for some bizarre reason getting a relatively happy (and open to sequels) ending. Despite a few technical issues, Paw Patrol The Movie: Adventure City Calls nails its target audience without ever feeling patronising or asinine, as kids games have a tendency to do. This is one of the better games for young players I've seen in some time, and there’s no doubt it is a hit with Paw Patrol fans. Obviously, there’s not much here for grown-up players, but its simple mechanics, nice mix of gameplay and pleasant visuals make it a game for kids I'm confident to recommend. Ben 10: Power Trip was published as Ben 10 by Torus Games that was ideally more for kids to enjoy and wasn’t exactly excellent, but was good enough for fans, I can only assume that this game sold well enough for the publisher to green-light yet another Ben 10 title for this current generation of consoles. Developed by PHL Collective. Ben 10: Power Trip is not a sequel to the 2017 title, but a brand new take on the material. It'd not exactly a good one and I feel like I should inform you right away that Ben 10: Power Trip is more of the same. If you really want to buy a game based on the cartoon series, you should stick to the original 2017 release. This isn’t a game that felt lazy, nor did it enrage me. It’s not a laughably bad title either. This is the rare case of bad game with good intentions, most of them likely from a lack of budget. If anything, Ben 10: Power Trip has a bold premise. PHL Collective tried their hardest to provide players with an actual open-world Ben 10 experience, a game with an impressively large map, different missions, side quests, collectibles, multiple kinds of obstacles that need to be cleared with Ben’s different forms, an original story, a skill tree, and much more. They tried to deliver , sadly, for as much as I wanted to recognize Ben 10: Power Trip it just feels a little mis-undercooked. Plat rewind 029 is life is strange PS4, first of many times a life is strange game will feature here. Despite 2 sequels now it never quite achieved the Midas touch this game has, honestly the story and the characters are so good, forget the supernatural elements of this game, the grounded setting of nowhere but anywhere America is just so perfect, much like persona I think the setting thrives in making one remember there own adolescence. Of note I’d rate the saving of Kate marsh, the after effects and the messages you receive from your parents as one the finest moments in gaming and was the moment for me that the tell tale games just couldn’t replicate. A Plague Tale Requiem is not far from a masterpiece. The quality of writing, the mastered narration and the density of the characters, this intense relationship between Amicia and Hugo offer the game an incredible emotional dimension at the heart of a journey through a world as hard as it is beautiful. The gameplay is much richer than that of the first installment and all the more effective even if the fights are not the most interesting moments of the adventure, especially when you rub against the body. It is one of the most emotionally satisfying games I have ever played. I was stunned by the emotionally charged, beautifully presented, and impeccably acted story which is brought to life by incredible technical feats which showcase the power of the PS5. Time and again I was surprised by the sheer bleakness that the story was brave enough to dive into and the thrill of watching hope attempt - and often fail - to overcome those seemingly insurmountable odds. Tout est parti d'un mod de 2008 tellement apprécié par les joueurs que c'est devenu un jeu en 2012 rafraichi en 2016. Ca donne ceci ! 🎮 : Vous voici sur une île mystérieuse, proche d'un phare délabré qui n'éclaire plus le rivage. Au loin, une lumière rouge clignotante apparait régulièrement. C'est celle d'une antenne. Vous savez que la fin de votre voyage est là-bas ! Ce sera d'ailleurs votre seule certitude. 🎮 : Vous allez marcher sur cette île inspirée des Hébrides (Ecosse) en vue à la 1er personne dans un environnement 3D très détaillé. Le chemin n'est pas tout tracé, vous allez pouvoir explorer partout jusqu'aux limites des barrières et rochers. 🎮 : Durant votre balade, un narrateur va de temps en temps vous parler. Il aura des propos tantôt cohérent, tantôt onirique. Ce sera à vous de donner un sens à tout ça. Et c'est le but de cette promenade ! Vous voici dans un jeu vous invitant à l'introspection, à l'observation, à la réflexion psychologique... 💭 : Un jeu qui ne vous laissera pas indifférent ! Tout en poésie, en psyché, en tellement de choses... C'est une expérience à vivre si vous aimez le style. De plus, il a gardé toute sa beauté et visuellement il est tjs impressionnant. After getting the Platinum in Alan Wake Remastered I couldn't wait to jump into the sequel and return to Bright Falls. Call of the Sea is a beautiful adventure, and the first thing that will draw you in is undeniably the gorgeous visuals. The gameplay may not be perfect and the story may be a one-time experience, but the game still is worth a playthrough. The atmosphere of the game is an engaging one! ❤️ Call of the Sea has plenty to offer puzzle and walking sim fans alike. The story kept me going even when the puzzles felt difficult and excessive. The puzzles can be tough and seem unfair at times, but overall feel very solid in how they were crafted.
