Little family Spring Break Getaway to Tulsa. We had an amazing time! Day 1- Oklahoma Aquarium, Checked into the Tulsa Club hotel, had dinner at Roka, Joey and I went to Valkyrie, an amazing cocktail bar downtown! Day 2 - The Gathering Place (so amazing!), shopping + ice cream at Utica Square, visited the oil driller guy, the police bldg they always show on The First 48, then Mi Cocina for dinner. The gloss will correct brassy or unwanted tones while adding shine to your hair. The chelating treatment is meant for dull or overtoned blondes. This will remove all previous toners and bring your blonde back to its raw tone and give me a blank canvas to regloss your hair and make it bright and vibrant again! 5 Things I Wish I Knew Before Becoming A Hairstylist Pt. 1 - Finishing school, passing boards, finding a good salon, starting from scratch. It’s challenging! Assistant programs are in my opinion the BEST way to start your journey as a stylist. You’ll learn first hand from a seasoned stylist who can give you the tools to success right from the jump. - Trends & techniques are constantly shifting and changing. Taking classes throughout your career will help you grow as a stylist and keep up with the latest and greatest! - Goal setting is an amazing tool to help you figure out what you want to achieve in your career and personal life. Start with where you want to be and what you want to achieve short term and long term and then work backwards on how you’re going to get there. “A goal is just a dream without a plan.” - I would always rather be great at one or two things than mediocre at everything. It’s ok if you don’t know what that thing is when you’re first starting out. Taking all services in the beginning will help you figure out what you’re passionate about. Then you can hone in on what I call your “niche” and become a master a that service or services. - Growth is so important. But growth looks different to everyone. This is my 9th year behind the chair and only in the past 4 years have I seen the most growth in my career. Comparing where you are in your career or your skills to another stylist is going to kill your drive and ultimately just make you bitter. Be a cheerleader to those around you and be thankful for where you are in your own journey!
