All Sky Moon Shadow If the Sun is up but the sky is dark and the horizon is bright all around, you might be standing in the Moon's shadow during a total eclipse of the Sun. In fact, the all-sky Moon shadow shown in this composited panoramic view was captured from a farm near Shirley, Arkansas, planet Earth. The exposures were made under clear skies during the April 8 total solar eclipse. For that location near the center line of the Moon's shadow track, totality lasted over 4 minutes. Along with the solar corona surrounding the silhouette of the Moon planets and stars were visible during the total eclipse phase. I due satelliti partiranno verso l’orbita lunare come payload secondario della missione M3, prevista per il 2026. Questa missione sarà la terza dell’azienda giapponese, e la prima a utilizzare il nuovo lander APEX. La prima missione si è svolta nel 2023, e ha portato sulla Luna il lander Hakuto-R M1, che però si è schiantato sulla superficie fallendo l’allunaggio. La seconda missione sarà una copia aggiornata della prima, con la quale verrà ritentato l’allunaggio. La terza missione M3, sarà invece affidata al lander APEX 1, costruito interamente negli Stati Uniti dalla divisione americana ispace U.S. in collaborazione con Draper. La missione M3 rientra infatti nel programma CLPS della NASA: è definita CP-12, ma sarà la settima missione del programma, prevista per la fine del 2026. The Orion Nebula and running man are diffuse nebula situated in the Milky Way, being south of Orion's Belt in the constellation of Orion, and is known as the middle "star" in the "sword" of Orion Barnard's Loop is an emission nebula in the constellation of Orion. It is part of the Orion molecular cloud complex which also contains the dark Horsehead and bright Orion nebulae. The magnificent central bar of NGC 2217 (also known as AM 0619-271) shines bright in the constellation of Canis Major (The Greater Dog), in this image taken by the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope. Roughly 65 million light-years from Earth, this barred spiral galaxy is a similar size to our Milky Way at 100,000 light-years across. Many stars are concentrated in its central region forming the luminous bar, surrounded by a set of tightly wound spiral arms. The central bar in these types of galaxies plays an important role in their evolution, helping to funnel gas from the disk into the middle of the galaxy. The transported gas and dust are then either formed into new stars or fed to the supermassive black hole at the galaxy’s center. Weighing from a few hundred to over a billion times the mass of our Sun, supermassive black holes are present in almost all large galaxies.
