6 tips to prevent hair fall and breakage for curly hair As a beauty expert, a big part of my job is trying products, lots of products. For the last few weeks I’ve been trying out the new carolsdaughter Black Vanilla Hydrating Shampoo, Conditioner and Leave-in Conditioner from shoppersdrugmart. The system actually does what it claims and the price is great! It’s made a huge difference for my hair, curly or straight, because it’s hydrating but also weightless. There are no silicones - silicones coat the hair, making it look temporarily shiny but the build-up can be too heavy, actually breaking your hair. I love using the system and it’s perfect for curly hair that is coarse and dry. Tips to prevent hair fall and breakage: 1. Use a hydrating, weightless, silicone free shampoo conditioner 2. Use a conditioner, first, before shampoo 3. Detangle with a wide-tooth comb from the bottom up to prevent pulling hair out 4. Lather shampoo before application and apply from the roots. Avoid rubbing the hair which can cause breakage 5. After towel drying, apply a hydrating, leave-in-conditioner section-by-section 6.
