Happy late 11th Birthday to our last born! With a broken arm our options were limited so we decided a trip to Universal Studios was going to be the way to celebrate 🥳 invited his buddy and we drove 3 hours to spend the day with neighbors that live across the street! 14 hours and 20,000 steps of fun, rides and adventure. Dylan loved Mario Land and the last 90 minutes the park was open we just ran all over! We got to experience the 60th Anniversary of the Studio Tour which included a photo op off tram and even snuck in dinner with Matt's dad. @edmo6dds and @pattypurple2 thanks for loaning us one of your many children and so glad we could spend the day with you! #univsalstudioshollywood #birthdayfun

Ranking all the new rides I rode during my 2024 California trip #8: Harry Potter & The Forbidden Journey Location: Universal Studios Hollywood; Universal City, California Opened: 2016 This is my top-rated ride at Universal Studios Hollywood. While I have been on the one at Islands of Adventure I'm still counting this as a new ride because of the park. You feel the missing hole of not being able to visit Diagon Alley in this park, and while Hogsmeade itself is still extremely immersive, you feel that hole, and then the ride. The Ride itself is still as good as the one in Florida, but some of the effects weren't working (like the dementors kiss) but this is still one of the absolutely best dark rides out there, not only from the ride experience but being able to walk through the walls of Hogwarts. #universalstudioshollywood #universalstudios #univsalstudioshollywood #wizardingworldofharrypotter #california #californiaphotography #harrypotterandtheforbiddenjourney #darkrides #darkride

Ranking all the new rides I rode during my 2024 California trip 11: Mario Kart: Bowsers Challenge Location: Universal Studios Hollywood; Universal City, California Opened: 2023 The newest ride I have under my belt, and it's an experience on so many levels. First of all, Super Nintendo World feels like if Nintendo smacked me in the back of my head with the hammer from Smash Bros. The queue line for this is absolutely outstanding, the Bowser statue is beautiful, going through his castle with so many Easter eggs contained. Then comes the ride. While I did start to feel a bit queasy from the Augmented Reality, and the visor was a bit on the heavier side, I thought it was done exceedingly well, it really felt like I was on the track in a game of Mario Kart and it's something that I can't wait to see how they eventually decide to expand upon. #universalstudioshollywood #universalstudios #univsalstudioshollywood #supernintendoworld #supernintendo #mariokart #mariokartbowserschallenge #california #californiaphotography #socal

Ranking all the new rides I rode during my 2024 California trip #13: Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride Location: Universal Studios Hollywood; Universal City, Hollywood Opened: 2004 While not as good as the one in Universal Studios Florida, still a solid thrill experience. The backwards launch is punchy and powerful, and the lats are nice and solid, but its main selling point is the outstanding theming throughout.
